Then Blake Griffin does this:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3w_Vy0lDk_A" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3w_Vy0lDk_A</a>

Saw this on nba.com earlier, Griffin's a dunking machine, I still prefer Vinsanity during his Raptors spell but Griffin is quality.  :)

With the NBA Playoffs underway:

Admittedly, most of the footage doesn't look quite right, but there are a few that seem to work well.

Boom goes teh dynamite:

Two things going on here in these videos -

One an over-reaction to a perceived threat:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4nothzbz1w" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4nothzbz1w</a>

And a complete non-reaction to a sure-fire accident waiting to happen:

This is steadily turning into an un-funny joke, at the NFL's own expense.  Don't really have a dog in this fight, but this was a damn horrible shame...they really need to sort out this ref lock-out situation.

Here's the view from different angle(s):

Only a matter of time sadly, only just seen it this morning, great effort on the hail mary but it clearly shouldn't be a TD, also there was offensive pass interference from Tate too, another missed call.  Another big call will be blown no doubt before the lock-out problem is sorted.

Steve Mariucci talking about the call on NFL.com.

This is funny:

Quote
While the ball is in the air, Tate can be seen shoving Green Bay cornerback Sam Shields to the ground. This should have been a penalty for offensive pass interference, which would have ended the game. It was not called and is not reviewable in instant replay.

It's not like that was the only missed or messed up PI call made, earlier there was one called on the Seahawks which was a phantom PI and just before the final play, there was a PI called on Green Bay that was a complete joke.

The way this is going, they're going to have to instate instant replay on the coin toss.  :P

Quote
Simultaneous Catch. If a pass is caught simultaneously by two eligible opponents, and both players retain it, the ball belongs to the passers. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint control. If the ball is muffed after simultaneous touching by two such players, all the players of the passing team become eligible to catch the loose ball.

The result of the game is final.

In addition, Deadspin has done some digging into who these officials are -

Quote
Perhaps the most remarkable thing about these replacement officials, be they formerly amateur, arena, or lingerie, is how little we know about them. In the old days, refereeing assignments would be announced a few days before the weekend—just another page in the media packet. But now that everybody wants to talk about the refs, and learn their backstories, the NFL has made that information a lot harder to come by.

Rhone-Dunn, the back judge who had the best view of the play and initially signaled interception, is the most experienced member of the crew. Formerly a Big 12 official, he worked the Sugar Bowl back in 2007 and arena games since then. Easley, the side judge who overruled Rhone-Dunn, is a banker from California, who has officiated high school and junior college games, both football and basketball. Elliott, the head referee who should have gotten his crew together and asked them what they saw before signaling for a touchdown, is a realtor in Texas, and has worked high school, college, and indoor football.

Will this crew be disciplined? Broken up? Sent to re-education camp to watch film, or docked salary, or let go altogether? We might never know. Because the NFL wants you to put your trust in it—even after a huge Saints fan was assigned to work a Saints game, and an official who drew paychecks from the Seahawks for three years worked a Seahawks game. I know what's best for the league, Roger Goodell whispers. Forget those silly questions about the refs, and while you're at it, forget about asking what the actual Bountygate evidence is, or what the league is doing about brain trauma. Trust the NFL.

All of Messi's 91 goals in 2012, simply stunning!

Like or hate the team, can't deny Jerry Buss changed the game.
