I enjoyed the Fright Night remake too, not as good as the original but a bloody good effort, looked like Farrell had a blast playing Jerry too.

Watched Tucker And Dale Vs Evil today. Funniest film I've watched in a long time, I especially enjoyed the bit with the wood chipper :)

Thank god for the new Tomb Raider, helped me de-stress after a tough week! More of the same please

I was duped into watching Drive last night - always be wary when four of your female friends ALL agree that watching it would be a good idea when on the surface it looks like an ace action flick. It was basically 90 minutes of sitting in a room of women swooning over Ryan Gosling. Could've slept through all but 15 minutes of it. 5 of those minutes are the credits.  #)

Watched The Muppets last night with the kids. Not a bad show. The kids loved it and it brought back lots of nostalgic memories for me.  Worth a view.

Watched Underworld Awakening afterwards, once the kids were in bed. Not bad either. Just carries on the story from the last time we saw Celine, still looking pretty hot in pvc!!! hhmmmmmmmm

Piranha 3D - 7/10
Was expecting a b-movie along the lines of Sand Shark, instead I got a flick with decent enough story, good cgi and LOTS of blood and gore.

Movie starts out with a guy in a boat, fishing on a lake. There's an earthquake, powerful enough to open up a tunnel entrance at the bottom of the lake. A tunnel that leads to an underwater lake full of piranhas! And well, the guy falls in, gets eaten and a few hundred piranhas are on the loose!
Oh, and the lake just so happens to be a popular destination for spring breakers, and yep, it's spring break.

The acting is decent at best, but if you're watching a movie like this for the acting then you have no taste in movies.
But if you love blood, gore, nudity, fish, water, young people being eaten by fish, blood and bad music then this movie is for you!

Piranha 3DD – 5/10
Pretty much like the first one, just not as good. Instead of spring break there's a water park and instead of any story/acting there's more nudity, because hey, when in doubt, more boobs!

oh JESUS where do i begin? Ive been seeing 2-3 movies a day/week so everything is just a blur.. I know i saw The Master and End of Watch on the same day (like last week LOL). And i Just saw Looper today.. i think i saw almost all of these this month/end of last month.

Premium Rush- 7/10 So at first I thought the premise was pretty stupid but no, I was wrong. It was entertaining and it totally had its laughs. And of course Joseph's acting was on point! (so was Michael Shannon's)

The Master- 7/10 (yes, the movie about scientology) So like Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix are like OMAGERDDAMAZING actors. But dur, I already knew that... This movie was a bit slow and it was a little confusing. But basically the movie is saying that the founder of scientology pulled it all out of his ass.. I feel like he was sort of onto something, but also its basis for a cult (thats why its called The Master, he was the only one in charge, it was his word or youre just plain wrong.) And ugh they used acronyms in this movie and I literally was like WTF. But, whatever its still good.

Looper- 8/10 So the dude who did Inception (the movie that I COMPLETELY understood and figured out on my first time seeing it) did this movie too and I have to admit, I like it. Alot. Maybe im just plain crazy but I love movies that play mind games with you. The only thing i didnt like about this movie was I figured out who was the "Rainmaker". But other than that it was GREAT. And props to that little kid in the movie, that what 8(?) year old had me CONVINCED. Also, for me this movie was just more Joseph Gordon Levitt porn for me LOL Ugh hes such a good actor and hes so darn sexy....

End of Watch- 8/10 HOLY SHIZZLE this movie was AWESOME. Oh my god I was laughing at Michael Penâ's jokes so hard.. Michael and Jake's chemistry is like OUT OF THIS WORLD. I seriously thought they were just straight up homies way back before this movie. The acting was on point, the movie had me laugh at all the right moments, it totally shocked me in some scenes and made me tear up just a little. This movie had ALL my feels..

Dredd 3D- 4/10 I dont know what the hell I watched. I cant describe how like UGH this movie was. Like honestly, it only got a 4 cause the special effects were amazing. The story felt confined (70% of it takes place in one building). The characters felt underdeveloped, I mean i only saw this movie cause a friend in the movies owed me.. Just watch it on the internet..

:D thanks! ohoho i have another movie to review too!

Hotel Transylvania (3D)- 8/10 HOLY SH*T! ADAM SANDLER IS ACTUALLY FUNNY IN THIS MOVIE!
im so not kidding. I saw this movie cause I was locked out (long story), I was bored in my hotel room and cause of Andy Samberg... Oh, also cause of the "scream cheese" commercial (that was SO funny and cute). This movie is almost like Shrek, cute moments for the kiddies and hilarious "in-between-the-lines" moments for the adults (did that make any sense?). Anyways, Its a hilarious movie about an over protective father, who learns that he needs to let his "little girl" live her life and make her own choices/decisions and blah blah blah. Its funny with a strong cast and hilarious jokes. Go see it. But not in 3D, I saw it 3D cause I wasnt going to wait 4+hrs for the normal one...

Resident Evil:Retribution (3D): 7/10 WTH why do i keep going to these 3D movies? Wait, Wait, WAIT. This movie is pretty awesomesauce in 3D. the third dimension wasnt a gimmick here. This was my first resident evil movie, like EVER. Since I dont know squat about this series just that Alice's costume was hard as HELL to make, so Ill keep it short. The sh*t hits the fan and errthang goes awry for Alice so she gets captured by an Umbrella. So Duke Nukem er, Albert Wesker sends in mmmmsexy Leon and his team to go rescue her and blow the place up. Then alot of badassery happens untill the very end. Thats where it got boring, LONG ARSE DRAWN OUT fight scenes with Leon trying to tag-team Raine with Luthor West in one corner and Alice fighting Jill Valentine in the other. All the while Ada was handcuffed in the snow :( That whole scene couldve been like 4minutes long and thats it :| Anyways it was good.

ERMAGERD I cant believe i just "OK'ed" a adam sandler movie... I do believe the world is ending...

Next Up: Taken 2, The Oranges and Arbitrage

The last movie I saw was Cloud Atlas. It was a little out there but after awhile I found it interesting how the different timelines were stacked together. I'd give it four stars. The next one I'm gonna see is Wreck-It Ralph.

The Red Violin. It was ok I suppose 3/5. I can see why people like it, but it isn't for me.
Can't wait for Shenmue 3

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.

Meh, I mostly all of these on opening day (except for here comes the boom)

Movies I thought were awesome

Alex Cross 7.8/10-  I really wanted to see how Tyler Perry would make the transition to a BAMF and I gotta say not bad. I mean the guy isnt a bad actor, he perfected madea and he was good in Good Deeds. I dont think he will be the next "action superstar" but I think with the right story he as potential. The movie still had some feels to it, but I liked it though. Oh and Matthew Fox is effing terrifying in this movie. He is NOT that dude from lost anymore.

Argo 8/10- Okay first off, I just wanna say that we ALL know that the people escaped but HOLY CRAP the last 15/20 minutes of the movie made me scratch out ALL the stuffing in the seat. In the theater you could cut the tension with a knife. Everyone (myself included) in the movie was holding their breath. Im pretty sure I got 3 gray hairs in the process. With that being said, that movie was great. That movie was pretty much perfect.

Taken 2  7.5/10- You know you're a bad fighter when a guy almost twice your age is kicking more ass than you.  Same thing with the last movie. Still awesome and it just proves that Liam Neeson is one BAMF.

Movies I thought were great

Cloud Atlas 7/10- So throughout this entire movie I sat wondering who was who in FX makeup. This movie literally was eyecandy and that is why it got a 7/10. If you do not like to use your brain during a movie, Cloud Atlas isnt for you.  The stories individually were great. They were mostly fleshed out (as much as an individual story can in a movie with 5 other stories). But trying to link the stories together might be a tad bit confusing. The first five stories are interrupted at a key moment and after the sixth story, the other five stories are returned to and finished, in reverse order. Then it ends with each character realizing what happens in the next story (chronologically) in the chain. (what. did that make ANY sense? I think I just confused myself @-@) Anyways, there were 3 stories I liked, 1 i found HILARIOUS and the other 2 were okay :/  Its worth atleast a peek. Oh, its also a little long, the movie wouldve been a bit better if things wrapped up quicker.

Here Comes The Boom 7/10- Ha, I cant believe I enjoyed a filler movie! I usually dont like kevin james since hes really silly/stupid funny but this movie made me laugh. Its a typical "Lets do this thing to help raise money for our good cause. FOR THE KIDS!" type of movie. The guy who played Nico was funny, he totally made the movie watchable.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower8/10- Good story, good cast and GREAT music. (I ended up torrenting the soundtrack after I saw it). The pacing was perfect and the acting was believable. And also, IT WAS BETTER THAN JUNO! :D

Movies Im neutral with

Seven Psychopaths -/-  - So I feel like this movie sorta let me down. Thought this movie would really amp up the crazy (not to the point where its cheesy). It does have its crazy moments and it IS funny (mostly) and has its cute cheesy moments but I dont know. I think I was expecting more from this movie since it utilizes a great cast.

Frankenweenie -/-  -  More of the same stuff from Tim Burton. I dont get why so many people raved this movie..

Movies I cant wait to see
Flight
Twilight: Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 (finally its ending, it BETTER be good)
Wreck it Ralph
Les Misrables
Lincoln
Skyfall
Killing them Softly
Hyde Park Hudson
Rise of the Guardians
Anna Karenina

Just got back from Wreck It Ralph. It got a lot going for it that modern and retro gaming fans will enjoy. For gamers it's a solid 4 stars. It might be a 3 for everyone else. This is the best fake VG movie ever.

I watched Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter over the weekend.............  Best documentary I've seen in ages. I never knew he was that cool a dude!  Well, I hope it was a documentary coz as a makie up ( i.e. fictional ) movie it wasn't great!! A disappointing 4/10.
