Xbox Clubs
« on: November 13, 2016, 04:40:23 PM »
So does someone want to set up an Xbox One club for this group?  It might help with getting some of the game nights/social activity going again.  Just a suggestion though.  :-)

We'd been kicking around the idea with recently, working out the details, definitely sounds like a good idea - hopefully we can build the interest back up. Maybe even facilitate time-zone specific Sub-Clubs under a larger 360DF umbrella?

Or even under a name change - depending on feedback? Seem to remember Neato mentioning that the "360"may not be that indicative, considering most people have by now moved onto XB1 and clubs seem to be XB1 platform specific.... Feedback always welcome! :)

I've already created a Gears & Beers Club for everyone here that plays it, I'll send you an invite later Kini. I'll start a club for the website later too, I'll stick with the 360DF name for now then if anyone comes up with anything better I'll change it.

Haven't had a chance to start up Gears 4 (game library's gotten way too thick as of late), but will looking to pick up a bundle of things - including TitanFall 2 in the next few weeks - may actually even get on that Skyrim bandwagon finally! :P

I'm playing through Skyrim again as a sneaky archer who is a thief/assassin and suffers from Lycanthropy.

Sounds like that's a way to go, multi-talented and complex!

Granted, I had a XB360 version of Skyrim sitting on a shelf, waiting for me to get through a bunch of other titles - then Bethesda went and released this new fangled remastered edition, now I'll be picking it up and running that instead - with the knowledge it's going to ferment itself as a black hole in time not allowing other games the light of day for a while.... somehow I remember teasing Neato a while back for his ever-growing library backlog. Glass houses now,  I guess... #)

I don't have a huge backlog, but then again, I don't have a huge collection of games.  I've been replaying a lot of older games since because of the backwards compatibility.

Yeah, I've slowed down with the buying overall, save for smaller digital sales on releases, like Virginia, Unravel, and The Bridge, etc...and even then, the Monthly Free Games Program is feeding the monster backlog and isn't encouraging random purchases either. Bad deal to have bought something on sale one week only to see it pop up for free the next month on GwG.

That's the reason why I'm hesitant to purchase any games just in case they do pop up as the monthly freebie!
