Good First Person Shooters
« on: November 03, 2009, 11:24:26 AM »
Hey guys after i sell loads of my crap games i plan to restock with more fps. however alot of fps shooters have rubbish single play/ stories and great online stuff, So with the years of gaming knowledge you guys have can you point me in the right direction for some good single player fps shooters as i have looked and all i can find are ones geared around online play.

BioShock - still for me the best FPS on the 360, awesome game, single player only (the sequel does have MP), great visuals & sound, good solid story, good voice acting, creepy & atmospheric, love it  :)

i bought it on release day but didn't play it for a while because i was finishing other stuff first, once i'd played it for while it sucked me in big time.

Another great game is The Darkness, brilliant & often overlooked FPS, some of the best voice acting i've ever heard in a game, Dfuse hadn't ever played it & picked up cheap, he was very impressed.

I'd agree with Bioshock and the Darkness. I was going to say those before I read the other comments. Both have very immersive single player modes.

They become more useful the further you get in to the game. As you progress your darkness powers evolve. Stick with it matey.

maybe the F.E.A.R. series never played more than 30min of either but maybe someone eles could help with info. i agree with the darkness.Very fun once the game progesses. I'd try mirrors edge although not a fps, it is fp, visually appealing, and diffrent.so give a try i liked it

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.
