I had all these recorded on my sky box but never watched it as i did not like the look of it. I watched the first episode and then saw them all in a couple of days and loved it! i cannot wait until the next season now.

I've read almost all of the books and all it makes me say to this is: wait until you see season 3.  :o Looks like it's going to be an amazing adaptation if they keep it going, though it's an expensive show to make so I hope the ratings keep up.

Reading book 3 at the moment and its great stuff.  Hopefully it'll stay popular enough to keep HBO interested in making it. HBO pick em well though, so fingers crossed.

Another trailer

HBO has renewed "Game of Thrones" for a third season, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming.

"Series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss raised our expectations for the second season - and then surpassed them," said Lombardo. "We are thrilled by all the viewer and media support we've received for the series, and can't wait to see what Dan and David have in store for next season."

Based on the bestselling fantasy book series by George R.R. Martin, "Game of Thrones" is an epic drama set in the world of Westeros, where ambitious men and women of both honor and ill-repute live in a land whose summers and winters can last years. The Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning fantasy series began its ten-episode second season Sunday, April 1 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), with other episodes debuting subsequent Sundays at the same time.

According to early data, "Game of Thrones'" season two premiere has already accumulated a gross audience of 8.3 million viewers, and is on track to easily surpass the season one average of 9.3 million viewers.

At some point, probably when it gets REALLY good, they're going to cancel this. Which is why I'm glad I'm reading the books in advance. I hate when they cancel great shows, though hopefully this will stay popular enough to justify the cost of it. Some awesome stuff is coming during this season, sadly/geekily excited.

It's very highy rated in the states, i mean renewed after just 2 eps of the series, it did the same when renewing for season 2.

I hope they carry this through to conclusion, it could be the TV show version of Harry Potter in terms of money making.

Great show. It's season end has left a big hole in my viewing calender! Think the next book is being divided into two seasons.......

The next book is technically two books, but it was just published as books 3 and 4 all in one. Makes sense to have it as a two season thing though, a lot happens!
