Depends how good it's gonna be, that EyeToy Pet on PS3 is supposed to be quite innovative. If it's 30 then i might just get for the sake of it, especially if some easy achieves are involved!

The report says 14 games will go on sale alongside the new tech

That's already a larger catalog than the combined support of the Wireless Microphone, Vision Camera and Big Button Pads.

That is at least encouraging.

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.

I liked the look of it when it was originally shown at E3 and i'm sure it will bring a lot more people to the 360, especially if the rumoured price is true, i doubt i'll bother with it though.

Devs to get Project Natal tips at Gamefest in Feb.

With Project Natal on schedule for a 2010 arrival, it's no surprise that Microsoft's annual Gamefest conference will offer programming tracks designed to get developers up to speed on how best to design for and implement the technology in their Xbox 360 games.

The tech summit, which runs from February 10 and 11 in Seattle will offer two types of Natal-themed sessions. The first, Project Natal Design, promises to help devs with "creating new ways to work, building showcase experiences, divining user intent, and designing gestures for UI versus game interactions." The second, Project Natal Technical, will "dive deep into gesture recognition, avatar retargeting, speech recognition, advanced raw stream processing, handling different player environments, and many other topics."

Avatar re-what? Advanced raw stream huh? $100 says Microsoft just hands attendees Minority Report on DVD.

Natal: Largest leap in TV since remote control
Microsoft's Marc Whitten talks big on 360's new technology...

Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox Live, says that he believes Project Natal will be "the largest leap of TV experience since the remote control".

"I don't believe we are currently in the golden age of the television or the golden age of the game console or the golden age of the internet," Whitten said at the Streaming Media West show, reports Yahoo Tech. "Frankly, five years from now I don't know that you'll be able to tell the difference between those worlds."

Whitten also sees a future where Natal does away with remote controls but not replacing them, as they're "already too hard."

"With the flick of my wrist I can change a channel," he explains. "With the power of my voice I can start a movie."

Too ambitious and far fetched for 360 or something you'd genuinely look forward to and use?
