'Xbox Windows' Branding Spotted On Classic Games
« on: August 13, 2012, 11:34:52 AM »
PC classics Minesweeper and Solitaire are among the first games to fall under Microsoft's 'Xbox Windows' branding.

The new branding was spotted on Xbox 360 Achievements, and along with Mahjong the titles will offer up to 50 Gamerscore when they arrive with Microsoft's new operating system later this year.

The move represents another step towards unifying the two brands, with Windows 8 already set to include Xbox Live integration when it releases this October.

The platform holder's registration of the Xbox 8 internet domain has also fuelled speculation it could tie its next-generation console with the Windows brand.

Windows 8 is also set to be compatible with Microsoft's new range of Surface tablets, which are set to release in October alongside the OS.
