EndWar 2: So Now the First One is StartWar?
Ubisoft Shanghai is currently working on a sequel to Tom Clancy's EndWar. In an interview with Videogamer.com, Ubisoft creative director Michael De Plater said that a small team is working on improving both story and combat elements of the first game. Plater says that though he can't put a timeline on the game's release, Ubisoft has a clear vision of how to improve EndWar 2, and that they've already solved the difficulties of bringing a real-time strategy game to the console.
Plater mentioned competitors Company of Heroes and World in Conflict when describing Ubisoft's vision for a more engaging story, as well as the need to further differentiate the game's factions to deepen the combat. Plater also pointed out that EndWar proved popular among gamers, selling over 1.5 million copies even though it was released with mega-hits like Gears of War 2 to compete with.
