I'm going to see how I get on with Mass Effect before even thinking about Mass Effect 2. Can't see how I can go wrong with AVP though, the Alien and Predator films are some of my favourite films. I even liked the two AVP films  :o

Thank god for the new Tomb Raider, helped me de-stress after a tough week! More of the same please

The AVP films were ok.. but the first one was kind of weird.. 2nd one was much better!

I thought the first AvP film was pretty good, i just didn't like how family friendly the movie was, the second AvP film wasn't very good but it did have the gore which was missing from the first film, combine the two & we're onto a winner  :)

The Collector's Edition will include 4 multiplayer maps that will be made publicly available at a later date.

Does anyone know if the "publicly available" maps will be free (a la Army of Two), or paid (a la Gears of War)?

I want to get this game just based on my love for the original AvP games for PC. That said, I've been spending way too much on gaming lately, so this one is going to have to hold off until my birthday.

Rumour: AvP demo arriving this Thursday

According to tipster Mike, an ad for an Aliens vs Predator demo recently popped up in the Spotlight section of the Xbox 360 dashboard. The ad reportedly announced that the demo will be released February 4, this Thursday. Unfortunately, the ad has since been pulled, though AvPGalaxy reports finding the ad as well.

The site also notes that the demo will arrive on the same day for PSN and Steam as well, adding that an official announcement from Sega is forthcoming. Given that the game will be hitting retail shelves in just two weeks, the timing for the demo would certainly make sense.

AVP online MP demo out tomorrow

SEGA's announced that an Aliens vs. Predator demo will be available tomorrow on PlayStation Network, Steam and Xbox Live Marketplace.

This sampler shows the online multiplayer side of the game and allows all three species - human, alien, predator - to be played, but only on the Refinery map and in Deathmatch mode.

The full game's out on 19th February here in Europe.

Could be worth a try on Friday for a bit before/after whatever game it is we'll be playing.

Not yet, probably give it a go sometime tomorrow, i've seen mixed thoughts on the demo on the xbox.com forums.
