Perhaps you should change game nights to a more American based time or have 2 starting points. There's more Americans, especially from the newer members and a lot of the Euro users play with each other anyway.

I have a party this Fri and next, so i won't be about.

Some of it is the time difference for me...because I don't usually get home from work untill around 11:00 pm UK time.  But some of it is that I am also a bit shy about playing multiplayer games thanks to some bad experiences and the fact that I'm just not that good at a lot of games (especially first person shooters)....oh, and that I'm in fact just a bit shy when I don't know people yet.  :-\   There are fridays that I'm home quite early or have the day off and could join in.  I'm just a bit hesitant about it still, being so new here and all.  :-[

Don't worry about skill level in our game nights.  I'm one of the worst players in this group and they still put up with me.   ;D   This group is all about having fun while playing even if you accidently kill your teammates on occasion.  (like I've been known to do)  If you have Halo or Gears and you see me online, send me a message and we can play a few rounds together if you like.

Kini speaks the truth, game nights are generally a laugh fest, hardly any real seriousness and I think that's what'll keep you showing back up...that and the punch. ;)

The whole time difference thing...that's a whole other issue we've yet to be able to scientifically crack. I think Handshakes is holed up in his lab, working on a time travel/sequencing device though, updates will follow soon I'm sure.

lol....that's great! The whole time travel/sequencing device thing! Love it.

Dankinia, I do have gears, so next time I see you we can def do that. You'll laugh at how terribly awful I am.  :)   But starting out with just you might make me feel more comfortable than jumping into the whole group to begin with.  It's a plan then.

Thanks  ;D

I'm pretty awful too so I'm sure it will be a lot of laughs all the way around.

I'm on it, but I need more gigawatts.

Handshakes, if I'm on you're team you'll be lucky to stay alive! You'll probably hear me saying "oops...sorry" quite often.  #)

Would you guys be more interested in a 9pm EST start time?

We could do a 9pm GMT and 9pm EST kick off point, so people know when to get together.

potentially attempt to keep it rolling as people drop out and new guys join in. I know that'd entail party changing and hosting but could keep the fun going.

Few times i've got in late on a fri (gen about midnight GMT) and still been wired for a game, but the GMT start time has finished and it'd be too long  a wait for 9pm EST (that'd be like 2 or 3am GMT).

prolly an idea that'll bomb but just putting it out there.

Since there's a good discussion brewing on this thread, and my presence is random (and lacking), I'm going to dub this thread simply "Friday Game Night" and everyone can rally together here instead of waiting for me to maybe make a new poll in time to vote each week.  At least until March when my work schedule releases me from it's deathgrip.    :'(

ps.  Poll votes have been reset.   :)
