PES 2010
« on: July 23, 2009, 05:00:50 PM »
Konami has revealed new details on its expanded managerial mode for PES 2010.
Here's the word, straight from Konami:

On selecting the Master League option, players are now presented with a menu split into three areas: 'Club House', 'Stadium Walk', and 'Office'. Each of these is an umbrella for different parts of a manager's role, with 'Club House' used for tactical and match day options, 'Stadium Walk' for main game settings, and 'Office' for scouting and player acquisition dealings.

The in-game menus are now much simpler to navigate, and players can jump between the three areas with ease. The Club House element has also seen the creation of an all-new Youth Team section, which works alongside the first team squad.

As the game progresses, the player can opt to invest in talented members of their youth team to fast-track their development. This burgeoning talent can then be introduced into the first team, as with so many real-life 'academies.'

The Office area is where all transfer and financial dealings take place. Real currency is now used in PES 2010, and additional monetary routes are also available. Sponsorships can now be negotiated, with player securing big money deals with companies that can be used to invest in the team and youth set-up. Results on field affect the direct value of the club to interested parties, and fan clubs are also used as a barometer of the club's success.

Bunch on screenshots

We already know that Liverpool are fully licensed like in 09, not sure which other English team is yet, Konami are only allowed 2 Licensed English teams, hopefully Man Utd will be the other like last year, but I have a feeling it may be Arsenal.

From the screenshots we can see that Chelsea are still London FC, Ronaldo & Kaka are at Real, usually at this stage Konami haven't sorted the transfers out, Berbatov was still at Spurs when last years game was released despite him signing for Utd 3 months earlier.

Konami has announced that a demo for PES 2010 will be released tomorrow on Xbox Live Marketplace.

The five-minute demo will allow you to play against the CPU or a friend (whether online is available isn't mentioned). The teams you can choose from are Liverpool, Barcelona and the Spanish, Italian, French and German national sides.

So those wanting to play as Stoke or Finland will have to wait for the full version. Check it out tomorrow and see if this year's version looks like it will improve significantly on PES 2009 or not.
