I tried it out last night too, and I agree it was a bit buggy.  I do think it has potential though.

Fix incoming for buggy Crysis 2 demo

Crysis 2 developer Crytek is working on a patch to address a number of bugs in the game's Xbox 360-exclusive demo.

Since the demo launched on Xbox Live yesterday, users have reported regularly being disconnected from the game's servers and screen freezing during the online matchmaking process.

A post on the developer's forums today, spotted by Joystiq, read, "We are paying close attention to the forums and online discussion. It's good to see many players having a great time. However, we do understand that a few players are having technical issues with the demo. We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible, we apologise if it is affecting your experience."

The full, ideally bug-free version of Crytek's FPS sequel launches on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 25th March.

I tried out the demo earlier on Live and I didnt have any connection problems.

The map Skyline was too small to utilize the mobility features the game seems to offer. That said, it seems really cool. Definitely gonna check it out when it releases.

Crytek has launched a new Crysis 2 trailer showing off different progression paths through the shooter's multiplayer mode.

Every player is issued with a state of the art battle suit that uses nanotechnology to enhance their fighting abilities, and as the video says, the suits are state of the art 2023.

As you can see below, they offer a wide range of enhancements to suit your chosen style of play, so stealthy players might want to use invisibility, while more direct ones can unleash devastating aerial assaults with air stomps.

The higher up the ranks you progress, the more upgrades become available to you. According to Crytek, it takes around 60 hours of gameplay to reach the top of the ranking classes.

Crysis 2 won't use EA's Online Pass - report
Second-hand buyers won't have to pay extra for multiplayer, it's claimed

EA's controversial Online Pass system isn't being used for Crysis 2, according to reports.

During a Crysis 2 preview event in New York, Gamertag Radio reports it was told by one of the game's developers that the title won't use the Online Pass, which requires second-hand buyers to pay for access to multiplayer features.

As an independent developer working under the EA Partners program, Crytek was reportedly able to opt out of using the Online Pass, it says.

EA chief financial officer Eric Brown said last October that there had been "no significant" backlash to the then-new system, which was designed both to discourage and monetise second-hand game sales, as well as offer a way to fund the expenses of running online gaming servers.
