apart from watching the awesome Fairy Tale (now on episode 36), i've also started watching the new Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi. anyone that knows a ickle japanese knows Ookami (like the game) means wolf, Shichi is seven and the last one is Companions.

Wolf and the Seven Companions, her best mate is Akai Ringo.... Red Riding.

High-school club that helps people with there 'problems' and for 'favours'. First episode was a parody of Cinderella, including Tennis Prince. Loving it.

Lots of new anime coming out, tis the season and all that. Check 'em out at animefreak.tv

Anime on your Xbox 360: Crunchyroll partnership announced

The kids that watch anime will definitely know about video streaming portal Crunchyroll. This site has managed to change the entire U.S.-based industry in just a few short years, earning video exclusives and near-simulcasts of popular Japanese content. The companies that make DVDs? They're shutting down while Crunchyroll is growing.

Their expansion continues with this new partnership with Microsoft for the Zune Marketplace. This brings popular anime like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Giant Killing to the Xbox 360, Zune HD and Windows PCs. Giant Killing is especially notable as it is currently airing in Japan. North American users of Microsoft's services can enjoy the show in the same week as the Japanese. The release of the titles onto Zune Marketplace marks the first time any of
the titles have ever been available for digital download purchase.

The launch of this partnership will feature the above mentioned shows as well as Yokuwakaru Gendai Maho. I'm betting there's plenty more where that came from.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

That's a pretty good series, quite weird at the same time though. Tis all free on the internet, won't be paying Zune for it.

If something big comes out of this partnership it could be very interesting.
Crunchyroll do have some good subs and dubs (although there are occasional problems with links etc) and they do love there memberships too but there will always be plenty of sites like the one that Neato mentioned previously before who will always be slightly ahead and do it for free too.

I will keep an eye but remain skeptical!

Want zombies in your anime, then watch the excellent High School of the Dead, it has the Failed seal of approval!

I'd say my top three favorite Animes would be, in order:

Gunbuster
Hellsing
Gantz
I like my women how I like my coffee: ground up and in the freezer.

The doctors say his chances are 50/50... but there's only a 10% chance of that.

I've seen Hellsing which is great, gunbuster is too old school for my new found tastes and Gantz ... hmmm, i've played a game with a similar story where the dead are forced to play a game. Perhaps it was the same series and just released with a different name over here.

My top 3 series would be; Full Metal Alchemist, Fairy Tale and Cowboy Bebop.
Top 3 films; bah! wheres my Ghibli catalogue .... Princess Mononoke, Laputa and Spirited Away, nothing like them!!

Loving Full Metal Alchemist although I still have to see brotherhood.

As for ghibli you can't possibly miss out Howls moving Castle!! Just awesome.

Still a huge fan of Ghost in the Shell too and just wish there was a third gig.....

true true, Brotherhood was the reworking of the anime to more closely copy the manga, it was good, but a lot of it is still in the original anime and some of the new stuff isn't as good. Seems less action this time round.

Ghost in the Shell is awesome, i've seen most of what they did, but never the 2nd movie .... although i own it. Along with Howl's Moving Castle, although Laputa still stands top for me.
