Titanfall Dev Respawn is Making a Third-Person Star Wars Game

EA has announced that Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment is working on its very own Star Wars project, joining the stable of EA studios making Star Wars stuff, including the third-person Star Wars game being made by Visceral Games and Amy Hennig, and other Star Wars projects in the works at BioWare, Motive, and Capital Games, as well as DICE's continuing work on Battlefront.

Respawn's effort will be a third-person action adventure game set in the Star Wars universe, spearheaded by a new development team within the studio led by former God of War game director Stig Asmussen. Beyond these few details, there's nothing else on the yet to be named Star Wars game that Respawn is working on, but you can expect more details fown the line.

"At EA right now, we have multiple studios building a variety of great Star Wars games spanning different genres. We are all united by our teams’ passion for Star Wars stories, characters, and adventures," says EA Studios Executive VP, Patrick Soderlund in an EA blog post.

"And now, with a new team led by Stig Asmussen, we get to see what [Respawn] can do when you combine that great attention to gameplay with the power of Star Wars," Soderlund adds. "As a game maker, nothing is more exciting."
