Typical Academy votes mate, they always ignore stuff like that, i'm still amazed Johnny Depp got a nom for Pirates, sure he's great in those films but the Academy rarely give nominations for action comedy roles.  Downey Jr. did get a nomination for Tropic Thunder & at least he won a Golden Globe for Sherlock Holmes.

Great film, Jeremy Renner is amazing in that though Bridges or Freeman will probably get the oscar, Avatar will win loads if the Golden Globes are anything to go by, i'd like to see Christophe Waltz win Best Supporting Actor for Inglourious Basterds, he's brilliant.

I've had it right up to here with them.

I felt the same way.  I got tired of Jude Law a few years ago when he was in every damn movie that released.

Well-placed career move playing a 'supporting' role, and playing it well in Sherlock.  Great movie.

Sherlock Holmes was great, Downey Jr. is excellent as always, Jude Law is actually very good as Watson and I don't like him normally, the supporting cast are okay at best.  It's Guy Ritchie's most accomplished film so far, but for me it's not his best, Lock Stock still has has that spot, i'd put this on a par with Snatch, much better than Revolver & Rocknrolla, we won't talk about Swept Away  ;D

Hurt Locker is fantastic & should win some Oscars in a few weeks, though I suspect Avatar will clean up like at the Golden Globes.

I just got an email notice that Hurt Locker is still unavailable (everyone in the US has apparently rented it at the same time  :P).

I'm getting Planet Hulk instead.                  /nerd   ;D
