LEGO The Hobbit Officially Announced With ScreensThat leaked bit of promotional artwork from last week was completely legitimate, as Warner Bros. has today officially announced LEGO The Hobbit, another instalment in TT Games' lovable LEGO video game series, this time based upon Peter Jackson's The Hobbit Trilogy, continuing in cinemas on December 13th, 2013 with The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug.
LEGO The Hobbit will follow the story of the first two movies, having you complete quests in Middle-earth as characters including Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey, Thorin Oakenshield and his posse of dwarves; Fíli, Kíli, Óin, Glóin, Dwalin, Balin Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Nori and Ori. Your journey will take you through a variety of locations on the way to the Dwarven Kingdom of Erebor.
Other Middle-earth locations include Bag End, Bilbo’s Hobbit-hole in Hobbiton, the treacherous High Pass over The Misty Mountains, and the dark depths of Goblin-town, Mirkwood and Rivendell. Promising puzzles, gem mining, loot, crafting, Treasure Quests, battles with Orcs, Trolls and other foul creatures, LEGO The Hobbit will be coming to Xbox 360 and Xbox One in spring 2014.
