Bible Navigator X: HCSB
« on: November 12, 2009, 08:14:15 AM »
Those of you enjoying the controversial terrorist scene in Modern Warfare 2 can also now seek spiritual salvation on your Xbox via , the 'Bible Navigator X'"first ever Bible Reader on the Xbox 360".
The application - which will be available through Xbox Live Inidie Games from December - features "the complete Old and New Testaments, a search tool, bookmarking, and adjustable settings--for big screen viewing and customizing reading themes." No Achievements though, tsk.

B&H Publishing's Aaron Linne, said: "The Xbox isn't just secular entertainment anymore. We can use technology that other people developed to study Scriptures through a new medium. Some people are just more comfortable with a controller in their hands than a book."

Just in time for Christmas, too.

So Luke can really put the stud back in bible study :P
Can't wait for Shenmue 3

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.

... features "the complete Old and New Testaments, a search tool, bookmarking, and adjustable settings--for big screen viewing and customizing reading themes."

Jokes aside, if it included multiple translations / iterations, it could actually be an interesting piece of software.  A sort of all-in-one bible reference that does not favor any particular sect.

If it's simply the KJV or NIV translations transferred to your TV screen, it's nothing more than Christian fluff.

There are no Achievements apart from the fact you would have read one of the lamest fantasy books of all time :P

Where are my avatar awards for this ? I want the finger of god as a prop, or maybe a giant cross with one of the guys from Life of Brian singing Always Look on the Bright Side of life .... or maybe Mary Mageleine as a prop, she could pop out of thin air, claim she MIRACULOUSLY got pregnant and expect me to support her rather than run away.

That would be awesome.

A big floating hand pokes out from the top/right corner of your TV screen, pointing its finger.  Your avatar reaches out and touches fingers, only to be electrocuted.

Oh the controvery that would cause has my mouth watering.
