Fault on a blu ray disc - really annoying me!
« on: June 02, 2013, 08:59:14 AM »
This is really annoying me... I bought The Last Stand on blu ray from Amazon. After 37 minutes the audio starts cutting out (I'm playing it on my blu ray surround sound system). I tried playing it on my other blu ray player and it wouldn't read the disc so I assumed it was a faulty disc and sent it back to Amazon. I've bought another copy from Sainsburys and the audio starts cutting out in exactly the same positions. I updated the firmware on my other blu ray player and tried it on that (connected only to the TV) and it now plays the disc, and, rather confusingly, the audio doesn't cut out. It would appear that if I play it just through the stereo TV the sound is fine, but through the surround sound the audio is faulty, but having checked the disc set up there is only one 7.1 audio track. Anyone got any suggestions as to why it plays ok in just stereo but not 7.1 when the audio track is the same?

Thank god for the new Tomb Raider, helped me de-stress after a tough week! More of the same please

I know it seems a bit pathetic but it's really annoying me as there's no logical reason for it to work with one player but not with another. I hate stuff like this!

I was about to suggest that, I didn't see your Facebook status or anything...... honest!

Glad it's sorted.   :)
