Achievements look pretty easy. Played the demo and though it was pretty fun. Will likely get it nearer Christmas for like £20 when it's Game or Gamestation's DOTW.

Alright. I'll admit it. Very excited.

I'm assuming this will have the same Autolog system as introduced with Hot Pursuit - if anyone is up for some time-challenging-awesomeness, add me. I'm persistent, though won't claim to be any good!

The ads and buzz actually had me interested, but reviews are pretty luke warm.  I have much better racing games collecting dust.  I'll be passing on this one.

I'll let you know, just loading it up. I'm starting to think NFS might be an acquired taste since I much prefer the somewhat more casual style of racing that it offers versus games like Forza, which seems very serious. Plus, REALLY hoping the story for "The Run" is decent, I've been longing for a good story driven racing game for years.

But yeah! Will feed back later and I'll do my best to be unbiased. ;)

NFS: Carbon was one of the first 360 games I ever played, and loved it.

I also liked another NFS game that came out shortly after (Wanted maybe?).

So far, it's a little rough around the edges - doesn't feel as polished as NFS: Hot Pursuit did to me, but giving it some time to accept the differences.  There's a right element of peril to some of the tracks, slipping off the edge of a cliff isn't pretty - though there's a checkpoint system that gives you a limited number of "rollbacks" - either on command or after you mess up. A few game modes, haven't played them all yet - worth a buy I'd say but not for £40 necessarily.

Does Autolog automatically add Friends to your list, or do you have to do t manually? I've got a few people playing off my Friend's List and none of them have been added to Autolog. :(

It's just when they're on your Xbox friends list, though I did read somewhere that it's not working properly - haven't been able to test with my sparse friends list anway :D Finished the story mode, bit two minded on it. How did you find it so far?

I'm up to Las Vegas in Singleplayer. It's pretty average, not in the same league as last year's Hot Pursuit. Most races seem generic. :(

The multiplayer on the other hand is pretty fun. It's where I've spent most of my time so far. The roulette wheel is a nice touch for each session.

I agree with JP in that Hot Pursuit was much better, could still play that now really. But it is decent, the career feels a bit lacking but playable and the multiplayer stuff is nice. If you're planning on playing both, play The Run first. ;)

You're showing up on my friends list in-game now, are any of my times showing up on your autolog? Failing that I guess we're awaiting a patch. I do love autolog, that's probably the only thing that'll get me playing the story mode again - not sure I fancy the unlockable hard mode after completing it on normal. I'm a wuss.  :o

Did anyone get lured in by Game's deal on this today? I'm eager for some times to try and beat to encourage me back into some of the SP races. The MP is good, but my connection is being an ass lately so I've avoided too much online gaming.

I might try to play through this on the harder difficulty, really failed to get addicted to this - the story mode should've been so much better. It was everything I wanted in a racing game (aka I really wanted a story driven game) but just poorly executed.

hmm, if not for Final Fantasy i'd have hit this up over the weekend, i may still find an hour to try it regardless.
