As I haven't played Skyrim yet and because Gears 3 isn't on there, Arkham City gets my vote.   :)

BAFTA Awards: Portal 2 Takes Top Gong, Skyrim Snubbed

The British Academy Video Games Awards wrapped up in London earlier tonight. The winners are now getting drunk and the losers... they’re getting drunk too.

Portal 2 was the major winner of the night, taking three awards including the coveted Best Game gong. It also picked up nods for Best Story and Best Design. Game director Josh Weier took to the stage to receive the honours.

Meanwhile, Battlefield 3 also performed well. It too took home three awards; Best Audio Achievement, Best Online Multiplayer and the GAME Award. That’s the one voted on by the public.

Elsewhere, LittleBigPlanet 2 picked up Best Game Innovation and Best Family Game. Batman: Arkham City won Best Action game and Mr J himself, Mark Hamill, took the Performer Award for his role as Joker. He couldn’t make the event itself though, which was a shame.

Eidos life-president Ian Livingstone also presented the BAFTA Special Award to Minecraft creator Markus ‘Notch’ Persson. He’s had a crazy couple of years, hasn’t he?
