It's in my hands
« on: July 29, 2009, 04:43:10 PM »
A coworker brought his PSP to work today.  Since I'm the resident "nerd", he wanted me to help him set it up.

Until today, I've never actually held a PSP.  I have to admit it is very sexy.  I wish I had more time for gaming, if so I may consider buying one.

... Who am I kidding?  If I had more time, I would just play more Xbox 360.   :-[

you could develop crab like hands from playing that damnable PSP.... it does have a plethora of Final Fantasy games though ... but then i'd have less time to work on my gamerscore

I would go ahead and use Remote Joy. Have you hacked it yet?
Can't wait for Shenmue 3

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.

I've had it right up to here with them.

Nope.  I'm still waiting for my new LCD replacement screen to deliver.  The PSP will turn on, but I can't see what I'm doing.  lol

Just like my DS, I plan on pirating my games.  I know that's bad, but I have no desire to spend money on something I only use for 1 hour every few months during long car trips or waiting in an airport.

I haven't done the research yet, but I do know there is a homebrew/modding community for the PSP.  If anyone knows the best route to take to softmod an old "fat" PSP, holla atcha boy.

I've done it.  RemoteJoyLite & the latest custom firmware, fully capable of playing PSP and PS1 iso's.

Over the weekend I played through the first 1/2 of God of War: Chains of Olympus.  I have to admit I was shocked to see polygon nipples on a handheld gaming platform.   :D

So far I have Dissidia FF, Tekken DR, and Patapon on my playlist.  Any other recommendations?

The PSP is ok for a quick fix,but you just can't beat the Xbox.

I have my PSP connected to my PC, which allows me use my wired Xbox 360 controller as well as view it on a larger screen (PC connected to my HDTV).

After I set everything up, a friend came over while I was playing God of War: Chains of Olympus in my living room with a 360 controller.  He was completely confused as to how I was playing God of War on my Xbox 360.   :D

I've got the point where any controller other than the Xbox 360 controller just does not feel good.  I also use my 360 controller to play my PS3.
