I'm currently experiencing acute sexual arousal from the latest spinoff-bands of Jack White and Josh Homme.  I bought The Dead Weather's album a while ago, but hadn't got around to listening to it until I picked up Them Crooked Vultures last week.

The Dead Weather
Affirmation in my previous suspicions that Jack White has been slowly going insane since the Stripes' album 'Elephant' released.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImbW-p4c4gQ" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImbW-p4c4gQ</a>

Them Crooked Vultures
I love Josh Homme and everything he touches.  Crooked Vultures has a much deeper sound than Queens, and sort of reminds me of his earlier 'Desert Sessions' works.

In the process of creating this thread, I ended up deleting some posts made by Luke and GM.  I haven't figured out how to resurrect (or forge) posts from other users, so I'll just quote them to continue the conversation.

I got both albumns over the weekend...Vultures is awesome record, cant really comment on the Weather's as not given it my full attention yet.

and yes Josh rulez but not and much as Mr. Grohl

I've just got the Vultures album, only listened to a couple of tracks, very good so far, Dave & Josh are basically legends  :)

Lately, the circle of friends I've been hanging out with have been dragging me out of the usual rock/blues dive bars I hang out at, and throwing me into nightclubs.

At first, I didn't like it at all.  Nowhere to sit.  10-minute wait for a drink.  Too much noise to hear what anyone is saying.

But then something happened - the music.  I've always been a fan of true hip-hop, but not the wave of party hipster-hop.  It all just sort of clicked in a good way, and I've been having a blast.  Here's a couple artists (with Last.fm links) I now listen to while I wake up in the morning.  Sometimes a Neato just needs to DANCE!   8)

Amanda Blank (Last.fm link)

Sorry Neato didnt like your latest offerings...Amanda Blank was irritating but I can imagine it doing well in the charts and I couldnt view the other one due to copyright restrictions... >:(

Here's one of mine current favorites, Crystal Castles:

I've been listening to

50 Cent & Eminem - Psycho - it's from 50's very average new album but Eminem kills it on this

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r00ikilDxW4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r00ikilDxW4</a>
