... the new untitled "Spider-Man" ... is meant to be a more teen-friendly incarnation, taking Peter Parker back to his early days of balancing girl trouble, homework, and crimefighting.

Capcom Keeps Resident Evil Film Director In The Dark

Paul W.S. Anderson is responsible for bringing Resident Evil to the silver screen. He writes, produces and/or directs the films. You'd think someone like that would have the inside track on the games. Nope.

"Talking to Capcom, Capcom's so funny," the filmmaker tells website ShockTillYouDrop.com. "It's like every time I go to Japan and meet Capcom it is like going to see the Umbrella Corporation because you ask them things and they won't give you a straight answer about anything."

(And you wonder why the movies are so different from the games!)

"It's like I kind of knew they would tell me that Wesker was in the game, kind of, but they would never really confirm it," he adds. "Then, sure enough, he was the main villain and he was the main villain in the movie as well."

There were other kwinky-dinks as well. "Completely by coincidence, a large chunk of this movie takes place on a big ship and there was the ship from Resident Evil 5," he says. We had the dogs in already. We have an awful lot of stuff that they had already kinda put into Resident Evil 5."

What Anderson then did was go through the game and make sure it was "more in line" with the imagery from Resident Evil 5, because he thought the title was fantastic. "I mean," he says, "I thought it kind of reinvented the video game franchise and I wanted to take a lot of it, frankly kind of like, steal from it and put it in the movie."

Capcom shouldn't have let this poor excuse for a director completely screw up what could have been a great movie franchise, oh well, too late now, apparantly Resi 5 reinvented the franchise, Resi 4 (superior to 5) did that 4 years prior mate, proof that Anderson knows as much about video games as he does the art of direction, retard.   ;D

New Bond film 'suspended indefinitely'

Production on the as-yet-untitled 23rd Bond film has been put on hold due to uncertainty over the future of the MGM studio.

The film had been set for release in 2011 or 2012.

But producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said work on the film has been "suspended indefinitely."

Daniel Craig, who was set to play 007 for the third time, said: "I have every confidence in Barbara and Michael's decision and look forward to production resuming as quickly as possible."

Craig is currently on location in Toronto filming Dream House with Rachel Weisz.

Wilson and Broccoli, of EON Productions, said: "Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on Bond 23 indefinitely.

"We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of Bond 23."

I'm not keen on the whole 3D gimmick.

I do.

More often is just makes my eyes 'tired'.  Makes the drive home uncomfortable for me (deathly scary for any passengers).

No not really, just not a fan of studios sticking the 3D tag on crap movies to try and drum up more box office and because of Avatar's success we'll have to put up with 3D on everything for quite some time.  I'm about as keen on 3D movies as I am motion controls in gaming, waste of time.

I saw this trailer during the opening of Kick-Ass.  Another indie comic turned blockbuster.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is an funny, endearing, and overthetop comic, and from the look of the trailer the movie may do a good job of pulling it off.  I'm excited.   ;D

I saw the trailer for that a while ago, it also looks awesome. I'm off to watch Kick Ass on Monday, shame i can't have a Matinee and watch them both.
