Those domain sniffers have been at it again, this time finding a domain registered by Microsoft in June of 2010. As if it wasn't already a statistical certainty, considering Microsoft's focus on Kinect games, KinectHalo.com lends even more credence to the idea.

While domain registrations are never conclusive, it's clear that Microsoft has been considering expanding the Halo franchise onto Kinect. 343 Industries has been busy for a while now and there are rumours of a Halo: Combat Evolved remake.

The studio has been staffing up considerably over the last year, so it's very possible that there are multiple projects in the works and that one of them might utilise Kinect in some way. Would you like to see a Halo game on Kinect?

I wouldn't want to see it, just for the reason of not wanting to have to get all the achievements in it ;)

Other than that, it'd be hard to figure a way for a traditional halo game to work using only kinect.  At least, in my mind it would be.
I like my women how I like my coffee: ground up and in the freezer.

The doctors say his chances are 50/50... but there's only a 10% chance of that.

Just a thought ...

Maybe a quasi-railshooter?  Full range X/Y axis controlled by hand (or peripheral) movement, but all 'walking' is on rails.

It would have to be single-player / co-op only, but who would want to play competitively with a Kinect game anyway?

The game doesn't have to run using connect, it may just 'utillise' connect.

Instead of games incorporating quick-time events, they could now include Kinect-timed events. Or maybe you run along with your normal pad and then a cutscene lets you know you need to defuse a bomb in which Kinect is used. Perhaps with games like Rainbow Six, you could order your team to stack up using Kinect and hand signals rather than the D-pad. Theres also the obvious voice controls too.

Endless possibilities to improve games rather than just make boring sport or fairground games.

KinectHalo.com.. This could also just be to enable Halo Waypoint to be controlled through Kinect.

I agree, Kinect sports is an amazing game but all the other sports titles that are out for kinect are complete rubbish, early days for kinect though i am sure we will see some genuine innovation this year.
Case in point, these guys are pretty good at innovating -

Dubstep + Kinect = Live Remixing at Clubs

Gamertag Radio writes: "The latest style of Dubstep is an offshoot of Drum n Bass or Jungle. It features a slower hip hop style while maintaining the dirty electro feel popular in todays music. Pair that with the easily hackable Kinect at a club and its no longer about the DJ standing behind turntables or laptop."

I found a deal that I couldn't pass up and bought a Kinect last week.

I set it up, moved my furniture around, and still didn't have enough room to comfortably play it.  I sent it back the next day.   :-\

i am lucky because if i move my armchair i have just enough room for two players to comfortably play kinect. i would be devastated if i couldn't have one due to space issues, in fact i would probably move house!

If I completely rearranged my livingroom, I could probably use Kinect comfortably.  But the headache of moving my entertainment setup to the other side of the room is just not worth it to me (yet).

Make me a must-have Kinect game, and I'll consider it.   ;)

Kinect goes all 'Roy Castle' on us and is a record breaker:

Microsoft has sold more than 10 million Kinect sensor systems since launch on 4 November, and - according to Guinness World Records - is the fastest-selling consumer electronics device on record.
The sales figures outstrip those of both Apple's iPhone and iPad when launched, Guinness said.
