Ok first off Parky was spot on, very much like an adult Fable, except it does it 100 times better. Visuals are nice, not a fan of the WOW colour saturation though but some of the rock surfaces/carvings look really sweet. The combat is fast, fluid and very responsive. Animations are very detailed. Rpg conversation/choice meets combotastic play how you like combat,  it's good and it feels very solid as well. Crafting/lockping amongst others are very Elder Scrolls like.

When the demo started off I wasn't blown away but it grew on me very quickly. There's nothing new here to the fantasy rpg but it marries with the combat extremely well. Character progression looks to be very deep judging by the menu choices. A cross between Fable/Elder Scrolls and a little tiny piece of Dragon Age/ME (conversation wheel)<<EA game after all!!!

Music is standard fantasy fare and the visuals are crisp if not saturated with a healthy dose of blood, this is where the Fable comparison ends, yes heads roll!

There is also a faction system at play here, but I only saw that briefly in the demo.

After the first part of the story you then have 45 minutes to do as you please with certain quests initiated but some are not do-able of course.

Another note as you play through the demo there are several items gifted to you for use in the full game, and I think if I remember there is two ME3 items as well (one armour and one weapon), just make sure to play it online and click yes to connect to the game server to unlock them for your account.

And for some reason it reminds of torchlights big brother!

One to watch this.

Played the demo last night and I liked it. The combat felt fun and the graphics were decent. Will be a buy later on.

Played the demo and didn't like it, graphics are cartoonish considering you wake up in a pile of dead bodies. WOuld have liked smoething more realistic, i will probably play just becuase it's a dungeon crawler/RPG. I wouldn't buy it though.

Some of the visuals are too bright, if that's the right word. And like Failed said considering the body pile at the start takes away some from the impact 'cause that was kinda cool. I played a mage dude with staff/daggers and found the combat to be really fun. Some of the visuals are really gorgeous but then the colour kind of clashes with that. One for later on alright.

I tried the demo and just made it out of the starting dungeon before shelving this thing. It was like Fable, but with a much more generic fantasy world and without any charm or wit.

It's actually more charming after that in the first town. Very interested to see what the scores/reaction will be to this.

After Skyrim and before Mass Effect? I'm not ready for this kind of game right now! Maybe later in the year. Seems to be getting mixed feedback on the demo, I guess that's the danger of how this sort of game will always get people comparing it to other previous titles.

I think that is why my reaction was so lukewarm. I'm RPG'd out.

Really, after playing Skyrim so recently, this game seems so cartoonish and unrealistic. (Which has already been said).   But I still like it enough to play it through. Though you're right, the colour saturation is just so hard on the brain sometimes, also contributing to that unrealistic feel. Maybe setting the brightness lower will help with that? I'll have to try that and see if it helps.  But someone told me that this game is what Fable III SHOULD have been.  If only they had added some humour to the game, that would have made it so much better.

Didn't have much time to play the full game this morning before work so I've only just reached the point where the demo ends but I'll definitely give an update as I get farther in.
