I'm extremely sceptical of the PS3 quality graphics, other than that this may be a future purchase, waaaaay down the line. Looks pretty good.

Sexy.

If I was younger and didn't have my own entertainment setup, this would be my platform of choice.

13-year-old Neato is foaming at the mouth.  29-year-old Neato is thinking about all of the 360 games he can buy with whatever rediculous price the PSP2 will be.

tasty, but i don't play much hand-held and i don't like the feel of the PSP1 in my hands. Maybe i should stop daydreaming out the bus window and clock some serious commute gametime on the DS

I'm definitely considering buying a 3DS, looking at its upcoming game lineup.

Depending on how well the PSP2 is received, it may be a contender.  I'll only buy one or the other.

In the meantime, I've put my old fat DS and PSP up for trade on CAG.  I neglect them and they need a good home.

PSP2
NGP
Vita?

The PlayStation NGP (aka: The PlayStation PSP2) may have an official name, and that name just might be "Vita," if rumors around the Interwebs and a new developer site url are to be believed. The site is http://vita.scedev.net/, and though the NGP is not currently listed among platforms, it is nonetheless a working link, not a broken "server not found" url.

The rumor mill is spinning pretty rapidly on this, which isn't surprising - E3 is right around the corner, which is when the official Sony announcement is expected. The original leak from an anonymous source popped up on multiple sites over the weekend, and now there's a dev site url. It may not be entirely confirmed news, but at this point it's looking more than likely.

What do you think of (what is likely) the NGP's new name? Bonus points to anyone who knew that "vita" is Italian for "life"!

"Vita" makes me think of "Vista".  That's never a good thing.

I bought a Vita and I have not had a problem with it. I love the dual analog stick and after I bought an after market hand held insert its just like a ps3 controller. FPS games are fun to play and COD is not bad. Only thing that's  bites is they need to work on more games for the vita.

While visiting some friends & family during Christmas I played with a Vita that one of the kids left laying around.  I was impressed with the design and graphics, but after 30 minutes I was reminded of the discomfort of staring down at a small screen for a long period of time.  Big screen TVs and recliners have spoiled me.   ;)

Yeah that can get to your neck after a while. I usually only play about 30 min at a time. It gets me past the bordom at work when on call.

I bought one of these whilst in Florida recently and my Tommy loves it. Plays the usual games, minecraft, little big etc. I got borderlands 2 with it but made the mistake of entering my home as uk. Can't download it now because it's a USA version! Might have to do a hard reset and register myself as a Yankee!

PS VITA - COUNTDOWN TO RIP: 2019
(https://www.gamepur.com/files/images/2016/sony-considers-various-options-around-ps-vita.jpg)

A senior PlayStation official has given the death date for the PlayStation Vita: 2019.

Manufacturing and shipping for Sony’s handheld will come to an end sometime that year, Hiroyuki Oda, a senior vice president for Sony Interactive Entertainment, told Famitsu.

Oda also said (via Gematsu) that there are “no plans” for a successor handheld.... Shuhei Yoshida, Sony’s chief of studios, was saying in 2015 that “the climate is not healthy” for a follow-up to the Vita.
