Gears of War Xbox One confirmed - Black Tusk takes over from Epic Games
Microsoft buys rights "to all existing and future games, entertainment experiences and merchandise"

Microsoft has acquired the publishing rights to all "existing and future" Gears of War games from Epic, it was announced today. Black Tusk Studios in Vancouver will now develop a Gears of War title for Xbox One under the leadership of Rod Fergusson, former director of production at Epic, with more details to follow this year.

"It all comes back to our commitment to Xbox fans," Microsoft Studios boss Phil Spencer commented in a release over on Xbox NewsWire. "The Gears of War franchise has a very strong, passionate and valued fan base on Xbox.

"Over twenty-two million units have been sold across all Gears of War titles worldwide, grossing over $1B dollars (US). This franchise, and these fans, are part of the soul of Xbox. By acquiring this franchise, Microsoft Studios will continue to offer them more of their favorite games and entertainment experiences from the Gears of War universe."

According to Black Tusk's general manager Hanno Lemk, the developer "will collaborate closely with Epic to ensure the inclusion of the Unreal Engine technology into the Gears of War franchise going forward remains consistent with the high quality fans have come to expect from the franchise".

Epic Was Going to Let Gears of War “Sit on the Shelf for a Decade or More"

Epic Games had no intention of continuing the Gears of War series in the near future, before the decision was made to sell the IP to Microsoft.

Speaking to Polygon at GDC last week, Epic CEO Tim Sweeney explained that, "We've gone through a long process of figuring out the games we're going to build at Epic worldwide in the future and we concluded that we weren't going to be building any more Gears of War.

“As much as we love the game, we're heading in a new direction."

"The core Gears values are really tied to being big event-based, single-player console games with awesome cover mechanics and other things that really didn't translate into the future approach we were taking with online games, and competitive and cooperative multiplayer,” continued Sweeney. "Because we weren't planning on building any more Gears games we were just going to let that sit on the shelf for a decade or more, in case it had any future value to us."

Instead Microsoft stepped in and bought the rights to the franchise, putting new studio Black Tusk in charge of making a new game in the series and snapping up Gears producer Rod Rod Fergusson to head the project.

"It was one of those rare moments when both Epic and Microsoft were able to make a business that was obviously best for the community,” said Sweeney. "Much better to have Microsoft building Gears games than for it to be sitting on the shelf unused by Epic.

"Selling an IP like that is a rare thing. Most companies look at it as their crown jewels but at Epic we had a practical view of it: we weren't going to build it and we realized the world wanted more Gears of War."

I know the proposed 10 year break by Epic was a long time, but hopefully MS doesn't try to turn Gears into their attempt at a COD killer and publish a new Gears title every 6 months. I like Gears, but if going to MS means diluting the space with regurgitated versions of the franchise, I'd rather skip on whatever is down the pipe. Hopefully the next release(s), focus on some kind of innovation (both from a narrative and technical standpoint).

Yeah, I think that's the sweet spot. At one point that seemed to be the timeframe for most franchises, and it felt like it was less suffocating for both audience and developers.

Former Xbox Live Chief Enforcer Working on Gears of War for Xbox One

Former Xbox Live director of enforcement, Stephen Toulouse, has taken a role with Gears of War developer Black Tusk Studios, as director of community engagement.

"I don't know a console gamer who doesn't remember that incredible introduction to the world of Gears of War," said Toulouse in a blog post. "I was hooked. I was sold. That was a day one purchase for me.”

"Since then Gears of War is the only title I have played every release through in coop, with my friend Mark. We'll put off playing the game until we can set aside a week to play it together. I've played multiplayer, and done the entire 50 waves of Horde mode for charity with my friend.

"So when the outstanding team at Black Tusk asked me to help them make the best Gears of War experience to date by representing the community and being their advocate, how could I say no?

As part of his new role, Toulouse will observe community feedback and filter it through to the development team.

"I don't just want us to make the best next generation Gears of War game ever,” said Toulouse. “I want to make sure that everyone playing the game today feels just as good today and down the road in their investment into our amazing world as we do. There's a Gears nation out there. I'm a part of it and it's amazing."

Black Tusk's resources mean Gears Xbox One can fulfil the IP's potential, says Fergusson
Ex-Epic man delighted by team's "fresh enthusiasm" and "energy"

Former Epic Games bigwig Rod Fergusson is having a rare old time at Microsoft's Gears of War studio Black Tusk, by the sounds of things. It's not just that everybody at Black Tusk is mad keen about making games - Black Tusk has access to significantly more resources than the old Gears of War team did, back in the day.

That's why Rod Fergusson isn't too bothered by the absence of franchise veterans like Cliff Bleszinski or Chris Perna from the ticket. "They are obviously great friends and collaborators - it's not one person makes something, it's a team effort - but what I'm really excited about is just the pure energy that's at Black Tusk," he told OXM in an interview first published in UK issue 112.

"When you live with a franchise for seven years, there were people at Epic who were kind of done - like I wanted to do something else interesting," Fergusson went on. "But when you look at Black Tusk it is just a pure, raw, pool of energy and excitement for what they want to do. So I'm like walking through the studio and Gears of War is on every screen, we're playing multiplayer together and we're playing Horde together, and doing all this different stuff. Just to have that fresh enthusiasm is really invigorating."

Nice to know that Horde is an office favourite, isn't it? There's little to reveal about Xbox One's first Gears of War title right now, but it sounds like the right ideas are on the table.

The original Gears of War team was "super-lean", Fergusson noted. "We always had the smallest team possible, we were always sort of understaffed and overworked so we weren't able to fully take advantage of what the franchise could do.

"So one of the other reasons I'm excited about having Gears of War at Microsoft is that we can actually see Gears do more than just any one particular instance. There are just a lot more opportunities because we have more resources to do that."

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition: Beta Findings and Fixes

From June 15 to June 23, The Coalition invited players to participate in an Open Beta for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Hundreds of thousands of you answered the call, logging over a million matches in a week. The most dedicated players played dozens of matches - one of you even finished over 500 games! From everyone here at The Coalition, thank you!

While we certainly hope you enjoyed your time in the Beta (and hopefully scored the multiplayer characters or one of the seven different weapon skins we awarded), we’d like to share some details on how you've helped improve Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for its launch next month.

Thanks to your feedback, the development team at The Coalition will implement the following fixes and improvements. Please note that this is just a summary, not an exhaustive list:

• Multiple fixes and tuning for the Gnasher Shotgun
• Multiple fixes for Frag Grenades, Boomshot, and Torque Bow
• Tuning for footstep audio and other sounds around a player
• King of the Hill improvements, including ability for The Coalition to adjust more settings for competitive play
• Removed active down from Active Reloaded Longshot sniper rifle and added/tuned active bonus for sniper bloom/aim.
• Bug fixes and tuning for skill-based matchmaking
• Tuned red/blue colours for team shaders (Locust/COG)
• Improved look of blood and gore in gameplay
• Improved game performance to reduce screen tearing
• Bug fixes and tuning for Controller Sensitivity Settings
• Various bug fixes on maps, weapons, matchmaking, audio, and controls.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition launches August 25, and you can look forward to all 19 maps, all of the original game modes (plus Team Deathmatch and King of the Hill) split-screen support, party support, LAN support, private matches on dedicated servers, and more.

If you've been holding out on purchasing an Xbox One, Microsoft has a pretty great deal lined up for the back half of 2015.

During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Gears of War co-creator Rod Fergusson announced that the upcoming Gears of War Ultimate Edition, a remake of the first Gears game, will be bundled with Xbox One systems. The bundle will begin appearing in stores on Aug 25, the same day that the new game launches.

Fergusson said that Ultimate Edition will be bundled with "every Xbox One sold" beginning Aug 25 and lasting until the end of the year. However, a press release sent by Microsoft after the event clarifies that this deal is "at select retailers, including Microsoft stores," and "while supplies last."

The bundle will include an Xbox One with a 500GB hard drive, an Xbox One wireless controller and a digital download code for Gears of War Ultimate Edition. It will also include a special multiplayer skin for Cole, access to the Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta in 2016 and a 14-day trial for Xbox Live Gold. The bundle will retail for $349, the same price as a 500GB Xbox One without the free game included.

During the same panel, Fergusson also discussed why Gears of War Ultimate Edition won't include Horde Mode, a popular game mode that appeared in the Gears sequels.

Gears of War Ultimate Edition comes out for Xbox One on Aug 25, 2015. It has also been announced for PC, although a release date has not been confirmed.

With regards to that "No Horde Mode" news ---

Quote
"We didn't want it to creep too much into Gears of War 2 territory," Fergusson said.

Fergusson went on to explain one of the reasons Horde Mode was added to Gears of War 2 in the first place: The sequel also included a huge number of new enemy types. Without such variety of enemies to take on in the first game, Horde Mode would feel very limited by comparison.

Gears of War 4 Gets Tons of New Details on Game Informer

It’s finally time to learn new details about Gears of War 4, that will launch on Xbox One in the Fall, thanks to a cover story on Game Informer.

2-player couch co-op (Online TBA).
Set on Sera 25 years after Gears of War 3.
Imulsion weapon set off at the end of GOW3 killed off all fossil fuels.
Humanity has become an endangered species huddled in walled cities seeking shelter from devastating wind storms (as a result of the bomb & intense war aftermath).
Called “windflares”, sort of a melting of a hurricane and volcano.
4 categories of weather in the game: Start out as heavy breeze (trees, leaves, dust kicking up) and grow into violent category 3 windstorms that can affect combat and weapon usage.
Category 4 windstorms have you just trying to survive, super violent, dodging lightning strikes, etc.
Think of the wind when fighting: Putting the wind behind could help projectile travel, but fighting directly against the wind could throw bullets back at you.
Enemies also affected by the weather (which you could exploit and use strategically).
“Outsider” camps outside of COG.
Heavy inspiration on the setting from Northern Italy (forests, forts, etc).
Want to get back to the “intimacy” and “boogeyman” feeling of the original Gears.
Team settled on story that features 3 protagonists and stretches across a 24 hour span in game.
JD Fenix (main character) is Marcus Fenix’s son.
JD: Joined the COG militia, classified incident forced him to AWOL.
Del: JD in the campaign, befriended him at boarding school (deep bond).
Kait: Outsider, capable survivalist, shares Outsider perspective with JD/Del.
Story begins as their Outsider village is invaded by a mysterious new force; kidnapped.
The trio goes into the forest in search, wondering why only they were spared.
New enemy is called “The Swarm.”
After the war, too many Locust to bury so many were tossed into mass graves (our trio believe this new threat may be linked).
First mission sets off with the trio in the forest, discovering giant cocoon-like pods, pale monstrous creatures erupt looking almost human.
These enemies are dubbed “Juvies” (harkening to their seemingly first evolutionary stage of a new enemy).
Juvies can eventually evolve into “Drones” (homage to the trilogy), able to use weapons, seemingly the main enemy type.
Also experimenting with new enemies like the “Pouncer” (E3 demo).
Pouncer switches tactics based on player (if you run out in the open, it shoots poisonous quills; stay in cover and it comes after you).
New weapons like “construction based” tools repurposed for combat.
Wanted to revamp the cover system; can more easily mantle kick over any piece of cover & perform knife kills.
Can also perform a short distance shoulder charge, knocking enemies off balance.
Enemies can also pull players out of cover and perform their own takedowns.
Implementing dynamic cover (for example shooting enemy pods from ceilings in an otherwise open area).
Big emphasis on multiplayer, saying original Gears development was 90% SP, 10% MP.
Want to meet needs of recreational players and esports players.
Acknowledges love for horde mode and promises fans won’t be disappointed.

The embargo on next week's beta has been lifted so there's quite a bit of news.

Gears of War 4's Post-Launch Multiplayer Maps Will be Free… But There’s a Small Catch

All post-launch multiplayer maps for Gears of War 4 will be playable for free, The Coalition's Studio Head, Rod Fergusson, told us when we went to sample the upcoming beta in London recently. But there’s a catch.

Gears of War 4 will launch with 10 maps (9 new maps and a fresh version of the classic Gridlock) with further downloadable maps coming for at least a year after launch. Everyone will be able to play on these post-launch maps for free, in the regular playlists. It means that Gears of War 4’s player base will never become splintered due to the developer’s DLC plans.

The catch is that if you want to play private matches with friends on these new maps, you’re going to have to buy them. Which seems fair enough. However, only one person in your party has to own the DLC for the rest of you to get in on the action. Nice, right?

Gears of War 4’s main playlists will consist of around 10 maps, with new maps coming in and replacing older ones on a monthly basis to keep things fresh. The Coalition reckons there'll be 24 post-launch maps coming for free in the first year.

Overall, it’s an interesting DLC plan by The Coalition, one we can certainly get behind and one that should absolutely please gamers.

Also,

Gears of War 4 Will Have A Bots-Only Playlist

Gears of War has always been a franchise that has looked to ease new players into multiplayer. Gears of War 3 multiplayer had a Casual setting to make the leaning curve a little less steep and it seems like Gears of War 4 is going one step further.

Rod Fergusson, The Coalition’s Studio Head, told us of these plans in London at a recent beta preview event, saying that Gears of War 4 will feature a bots only playlist designed specifically to ease players into the action and provide a taster of what to expect against human opponents.

The human players vs. AI playlist will offer XP rewards on the same level as regular matchmaking, and players can choose the difficulty level of the AI opponents. So not only will you be learning, you’ll be ranking up too. Fergusson said that the bots will be highly skilled and display different personalities.

Gears of War 4 is scheduled for an October 11th 2016 launch with the beta coming April 18th to Gears of War: Ultimate Edition owners and April 25th to everyone else.

Enjoying the beta so far, the dropshot it brilliant, especially the headshots  :) the maps are a bit too big for 5 on 5 but I think they'll work great for Horde, which still hasn't been confirmed as returning yet.

It seems to be a little to heavy on the shotgun at the moment, Maybe just the way people are playing it, Looking great though.

Definitely shotgun heavy, it's a bit overpowered too so anyone who is half decent with it can get loads of kills, top shotty players pretty much destroy everyone.

Yeah, Hopefully it's balanced out a bit more before it's released. I like the new Dodgeball mode.

I'm hoping they announce some campaign DLC for the season pass as £40/$50 is far too much for maps that are already free in social/ranked matches and some weapon/character skins, probably still get it though.   :)

Yeah, not big on the whole skins thing as paid DLC - campaigns is where it's at as far as DLC, IMO.

I did mention a bit ago that i'd love a Gears pad similar to the 360 ones but I was hoping for a special edition standard controller as it would be affordable, this looks ace but far too pricey.

Via XBox Wire:

Today we’re excited to announce the Brothers to the End Elite Gear Pack, a new pre-order bonus included in all editions of Gears of War 4. This pack pays homage to some of the most beloved characters from the Gears of War universe, and extends the tradition of offering gold weapons to day one players.

New and current Gears of War 4 pre-order customers will receive three unique characters.
•“Tomorrow Anya” is named after her famous words following the end of the Locust War (“Tomorrow Marcus. We finally have a tomorrow.”) Her appearance is based on her look in the Gears of War 4 television commercial, “Tomorrow,” where she was introduced as the mother of JD Fenix.
•“Old Man Marcus” features an older Marcus Fenix as unveiled in the E3 2016 media briefing demo. Twenty-five years after the Locust War, Marcus and the COG have long since parted ways. His facial hair has grown long and his COG regulation kit has been replaced with by civilian clothes.
•“Zombie Dom” proves there’s no keeping a good solider down, at least in the form of this character skin created as tribute to Marcus’ dearly departed best friend Dominic Santiago.

The Elite Gear pack also includes the Gold Wave Lancer and Gold Wave Gnasher — updated versions of the gold weapon skins awarded to the series’ most-dedicated day one players.

All new and current pre-order customers will also receive the previously announced Vintage Del Pack, which includes the Vintage Del character model and retailer-specific bonus items, including unique weapon skins.

Finally, all pre-order customers will receive the entire Xbox 360 Gears of War collection for use on Xbox One. This includes all four previous games – Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgment – and is available only as a limited time offer.

Gears of War 4 is available in Standard ($59.99 USD ERP) and Ultimate Editions ($99.99 USD ERP) and is now available for pre-order from the Xbox Store or from participating retailers. The game launches Tuesday, October 11, 2016 worldwide.

The dead rise faster this Halloween.

We're excited to share the details of the first special event for Gears of War 4 - Pumpkin Ball!

Pumpkin Ball is a remix of Dodgeball that introduces 1 second respawn times and reduced respawn protection, resulting in a faster paced Dodgeball experience where the dead don't stay dead for long.

This social style playlist features 5 of the darker maps from Gears of War 4:

Fallout
Forge
Harbor
Impact
Lift

Pumpkin Heads also make their Gears of War return exclusively in this playlist - now sporting a new mouth inspired by the look of our Juvies. As a special Halloween bonus, we've also turned on Bonus XP rewards in Pumpkin Ball - find this playlist in the ‘Events’ category under the Versus menu now!

In addition to this special playlist, the Halloween Elite Pack arrives on October 27th in the Gears of War 4 store!

This special purchasable pack is a variant on the Elite Gear Pack, with one card in each guaranteed to be Epic or Legendary quality. Legendary Cards from this pack are exclusively from the Day of the Dead Legendary Collection. The Halloween Elite Pack is available until November 1st.

In case you missed it, we recently released a Horde Credit and XP Earn Rate update for Gears of War 4, and covered a number of larger feedback items we're working on here. We'll have more news on further updates coming to Gears of War 4 soon.

Have a great Halloween!

The greed continues, £16.74/$19.99 for two crappy rappers that most players won't have even heard of, and if the price isn't bad enough, all they've done is stick the rappers' head over pre-existing skins, disgusting!

The pass is only worth it if you play a lot of private horde/multiplayer as you can use all the new maps whenever you want (once released), good for tournaments and stuff too.  If you don't ever play private then it's a massive waste of money.

They are apparently working on more content for season pass owners but it'll probably just be more Gear packs!

I enjoyed the campaign.  There was a bit more humor then previous ones, but I think that's due to the personality of the new characters.  The game play was fun, although there were a few places where it was basically a mini-horde match that drug on a bit.

Horde mode is fun.  It has the building aspect that Gears 3 did, but revamped a bit so the funds are basically shared to help be able to fortify things a bit sooner.
Title: Re: Gears of War 4
Post by: GamerMan316 on January 23, 2017, 03:47:17 AM
Same as Kini on the campaign, good fun, doesn't take too long and it is pretty funny, especially when Marcus turns up, the banter between him and JD is great.

The multiplayer is great but a bit glitchy, shot detection on the gnasher can be completely hit and miss so you'll either be on fire and getting kills for fun or missing shots that you'd normally be hitting so you end up massively frustrated, all other weapons are fine. The title updates so far haven't really fixed this, might be a server issue.

Horde is still quality, the fabricator option is good and I prefer being able to put fortifications where you like instead of being told where to put them like in Gears 3, having classes is also a good option as it promotes teamwork. My only real problem is the enemy variety and that the waves aren't random like the previous two games.  It's always the same enemy types for every 10 waves, hopefully that's sorted in a future update, still great fun though.   :)

February Map Updates: Available Now for Season Pass Holders via Developer Playlist (1 week delay for everyone else)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Quu1vSnmuHI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kK67TbsuuSk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnuIPZ7xh_4

Coalition Notes: Based on fan feedback, we’ve changed the spawning system from the original spawn swap solution to something entirely new – Leader Spawns. Now, you’ll respawn in a location close to your Leader adding a new tactical edge – Leaders now need to position themselves in beneficial areas of the map, while other players will have more opportunity to get back to their leader and come to their aid.

This new update to Guardian is perfectly suited to the intense low visibility combat of Impact Dark – try it out for yourself in the Developer Playlist this week! We can’t wait to hear what our fans think of this new approach to Guardian!

Seems like a good time to jump in and fumble around on the MP for a few...

Starting on Friday, players will be able to join what's being called the Feral Horde Weekend. The event will feature double Horde class experience, the ability to win skins based on performance during the event, and a new cosmetics pack.

The Feral Horde Mode will feature:

Explosive Trackers, Swarm Grenadiers, DR-1s, Dropshot Scions

Those performance based skin rewards will be granted as follows:

The one hitch to this is that in order to receive these rewards you're going to have to register apparently. [Go Here For That (https://gearsofwar.com/en-us/feral-horde-event)]

Objectives must be completed by no later than February 28th at 10am PDT. / Rewards will be granted to qualifying participants by March 31, 2017.

The weekend will also bring a Feral Horde Pack to the event, (seen below) - at a cost of 400 credits. Each pack will contain three cards and the chance to earn two new Feral weapon skin sets as well as "a greatly increased chance to earn Epic Horde Skills compared to standard Horde Booster Gear Packs."

If all of this sounds a bit too convoluted...rest assured in the simple fact that there will be Double Horde Class XP available for everyone - regardless if you're playing Feral / Regular / Private / Public play!

The new update weighs in at just under 25GB, it contains all the previous updates, hence the size, and they've added some nifty compression techniques so that future updates will be smaller, once it's downloaded, the install size of the game is around 75GB instead of 100+GB that it would be with individual updates.

Poor maps yet again, Mercy from Gears 3 that wasn't very good in 2011 and isn't any better now (good for Horde though) and another version of Harbor with a bit of fog, so basically Silent Hill Harbor.

We've had 22 maps so far since Gears 4 launched, only 4 of those are brand new, two more to come next month that will most likely be from previous games too though if one of them is River from Gears 2 then it's all good.   :)

Details from the Gears website

True 4K Experience
Get ready to experience unmatched clarity, richness and details with true 4K visuals (3840x2160) in our Visuals Rendering Mode. Even if you’re playing on a 1080p screen, you’ll instantly notice the difference thanks to a 4K super sampled image that brings you a crisper, richer looking Gears game than you’ve ever seen before.

HDR
High Dynamic Range provides increased contrast between lights and darks. Battling your way through a lightning flurry in a windflare has never looked better. Gears of War 4 on Xbox One X supports a wide color gamut for true-to-color definition – just as the artists intended – and now at 4K resolution.

Up to 60FPS For Ultra Smooth Gameplay
We’re excited to announce Xbox One X owners will have two Preferred Rendering Options to choose from in Gears of War 4 – Visuals and Performance!

Performance
Put framerate first. For the first time ever on console, Gears of War will play at up to 60fps in 1080p in Campaign and Horde - all including higher resolution textures and some of the new enhanced graphical features available in Visuals mode.

Visuals
Push graphical fidelity to the max. This mode uses Ultra Quality Textures, a wealth of new and improved graphical features all at 4K resolution (3840x2160) thanks to the power of Xbox One X. You’ll experience the same frame rates you’ve come to expect from Gears of War 4 – 30fps for Campaign and Horde .

In both Rendering modes, Versus will run at a rock-solid 4K 60FPS (with adaptive resolution scaling).

Dolby Atmos Audio Support
When playing Gears of War 4 on Xbox One, we now offer Dolby Atmos, which gives you immersive, moving audio.

The Dolby Access app lets you set up your Dolby Atmos enabled home theater, TV, or sound bar for free, and lets you try or buy Dolby Atmos for Headphones, which gives you immersive sound on any headphones. Experience the visceral sounds of Gears of War in a way that will make you feel like you’re inside the action, only on Xbox One.

Our most immersive world

The world of Sera has never been more immersive thanks to brand new features and higher resolution textures – all possible with the additional horsepower and memory offered by the Xbox One X.

Enhanced Light Shafts
Also known as God Rays, Enhanced Light Shafts provide true-to-life beams of sunlight in the world. Prepare for jaw dropping lighting as the God Rays peek through gaps in the canopy of trees above you, or in sunset conditions peeking through buildings and statues.

Dynamic Shadows
Shadows in Gears of War 4 are usually pre-defined by an artist to accurately reflect the shadows objects in the world would cast based on the lighting. On Xbox One X, dynamic shadows now react true to the lighting conditions and movement of objects – for example, trees blowing in the wind will cast an accurate moving shadow on the ground – bringing the world of Sera to life like never before.

Increased Draw Distances
With the power of Xbox One X, we can maintain higher resolution textures at a further distance than ever before – creating a higher fidelity picture and crisper world around you, even on the horizon.

Superior Reflections
We’ve pushed our surface space reflections even further to look closer to as you would expect in real life. Reflective surfaces now have a higher definition reflection of your character - whether that’s in a mirror-like reflection of water, or the muddied color reflective nature of metal. It looks especially awesome on the DeeBee’s metallic armor!

Enhanced Character Textures
With our higher resolution textures now available on console thanks to Xbox One X, characters show more detail from head to toe. They’ve never looked better!

Managed to get Classic Baird earlier, just need Cole now. Also just tried the 4K patch on the One X, they've done a superb job and even though my TV isn't the best for HDR, there's still a pretty noticeable improvement with it running, looking forward to trying some other games now.

Love the Gearsmas stuff they do, they haven't topped the first Gearsmas on Gears 2 yet though, a different daily event for multiplayer and increasing XP over the 12 days, good times.   :)

Hardly touched 4 in the last few months, just the odd Horde match or private multiplayer, it wasn't very active online last time I played but might be better now it's on Game Pass. Next time I play it will probably be in March when they announce the new achievements.

Killer Instinct Definitive Edition is at 4935G after a load of updates and new characters, the only ones higher than that are collections, Master Chief Collection (6000G) and Rare Replay (10000G).
