Good to hear.  I've actually been very skeptical of this game.

I also played the demo and I must say it was surprisingly good. The combat felt satisfying, you have quite a few attacks, not just a light and heavy attack. I love that you can jump and grab unto enemies. In a part of the demo you fight a gryphon and one of your ai friends launches you up in the air so you can grab ahold of it, I was just hanging up there trying to hurt it with my daggers, awesome. The pawn mechanic sounds interesting as well. Hopefully this'll turn out to be a great game, it's in my wish list for now but I'm gonna wait for a few reviews before I decide on buying it.

Not picking this up anytime soon. Went from my wish list to my "meh" list when they announced the game would be released with locked on-disc content, or "on-disc dlc" as they like to  call it. Bought Max Payne 3 instead, which is in my opinion a much better game.

Really starting to get into this now, and it's not easy. What's amazing is how the critcs went for one range of scores and the players are scoring higher, usually it's the other way around. The locked on dlc content isn't anything of concern whatsoever, there's nothing significant there. I can't overly talk about many aspects of the game right now because I haven't had that much time with it yet. The pawn system is something I'm loving though and the danger at night. When it's dark it's freaking dark get the lantern out!

The way I see it there's two sides to this game:
a) the story, which is supposed to be generic but yet only one reviewer mentioned the genius of the ending, funny that because I know that the IGN reviewer didn't even finish the game! lol.

b) The open world, just you and your main pawn and your two rented pawns and go and do stuff, fun stuff. The players get this idea though.

I bought this for option b and to be honest the demo doesn't give that great a picture of the game since you're about 20 levels above where you would be at that point in the game, plus it was the same demo from E3 last year.

If your on the fence about this game, rent it out and decide then, but it is brilliant.
