Headsets
« on: September 04, 2011, 03:43:46 AM »
Hello.

I'm wanting to get a new headset soon, and was wondering what people's opinions are?

I've been looking at Turtle Beach PX5's. The older models seem to have problems with the Xbox Slim. I've also been looking at Trittons, but they've only got the Gears versions at the moment, and they're charging an extra £50 because of that.

opinions please?

i have the turtle beach x41 wireless. Playing your favorite XBOX® game with the Ear Force X41 is like having a “secret weapon” in your arsenal  ;D

go to http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/xbox-gaming-headsets/ear-force-x41.aspx for specs etc

I have the Turtle Beach Earforce 11.  I didn't need anything really fancy, but I wanted something better then the cheap ones that Microsoft sells.  I think the sound quality is good and I like the fact that they work with my laptop.

Yeah i have the x11s, they are my first headphones apart from the Halo3 headset i got with my Xbox. I honestly wouldnt know what to do without them. Its just good being able to hear noises and knowing where they came from in the game!!

Cheers peeps. Looking at the X41's now, they're around £100 but have the optical output which is what I need since the Xbox Slim has a port built in. Been warned off Trittons as they're supposed to be pretty bad.

you usually get it if you play with a few people from across the pond and theres some lag, or if your mic is too close to your mouth when you speak. It's pretty rare, but it does happen. Still better than the vanilla headset

Finally got some X41's sorted. £85 from ShopTo.net. Did have some for £80 from an eBay seller but they became damaged since I ordered them. :-(
