Hogan was indeed a top draw, until Stone Cold came along he was the WWF's most profitable superstar, i always liked him when i was younger though i preferred Bret Hart and The Undertaker (Hart hates Hogan btw), as wrestling got more technical and flashy, maybe i just went off him, saying that though, if i was at a live show & his music came on, i'd probably still mark out like a 10 year old boy for him  :)

I recently watched The Rise & Fall of WCW on dvd, not quite as good as The Rise & Fall of ECW dvd but still a good doc on how WCW grew from Jim Crockett Promotions and the old NWA to eventually overtaking WWF on Monday Nights to how backstage politics and poor management killed the company.

Some quality matches on there too featuring the likes of Sting, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, The Steiners, Hogan, Goldberg, DDP.  The match were Goldberg first became World Champ against Hogan in the Georgia Dome isn't on there but it's in the documentary.

All in all, very good dvd though quite a bit of it is already mentioned in the excellent Monday Night Wars dvd.

Bret's a legend, his work in WCW wasn't close to his old WWF days, though his match with Benoit was a surefire classic.  Sting was great too, Goldberg was just a beast, his ring entrances lasted longer than most of his matches  :)

im not a wrestling fan. in fact, most of the wrestling fans ive met seem to be a bit slow. but it is really sad that they die so young. i've always thought that the human body isnt built to sustain the massive size or the daily pounding. idk its just a thought. its really sad though.

Oh yes, Vince pulling out the big guns as TNA are going head to head with WWE on Monday Night and as much as Hogan is still a big name, there is no chance in hell that TNA can top The Hitman returning to WWE after nearly 13 years.

Sheamus winning the title from Cena was a good thing originally but it happened too soon, he gets no heat at all from the crowd, they boo him for a few seconds then just go quiet, Bret Hart is more over than Sheamus and the majority of the crappy dead crowds these days don't even know who Bret is!!!

As for the Elimination Chamber, Jericho to win the title & set up a match with Edge at Mania, we've already had Edge v Taker so I don't see Taker keeping the title, plus the E never keep Taker as champ for long anyway.

Raw's Chamber match is more fun, Sheamus will somehow win it & face HHH at Mania, i'd like Orton to win it though as he's super over at the moment.

The Bret/Vince angle is just terrible, Bret has no charisma at all & Vince is carrying the whole thing which is probably why they added Batista and Cena to the mix, Bret can't work a match, Vince is in his 60's so they'll be kind of enforcers in a Batista/Cena match & it will end up with Bret putting the sharpshooter on Vince to end the match and everyone will be happy.

Which would leave Taker & HBK to have their Mania rematch, i'm sure it will be a great match, i'm not sure it's the right thing to do though, Bret screwing Shawn in the match would be awesome though ;D

HHH likes Sheamus, hence the push, but anyone that takes the strap off Cena is fine in my book & he has ginger hair :)

He was actually a very good indie wrestler in the UK before WWE signed him, Hunter has obviously seen something in him or he'd be staring at the lights to the people like MVP and Santino for the rest of his career.
