Snyder directed Watchmen and the very good Dawn of the Dead remake too, Goyer also wrote the Blade movies along with Batman Begins/Dark Knight so the new Superman film is in very good hands, should be interesting to see who will play CK/Superman.  Tom Welling would be perfect for obvious reasons but I doubt Snyder will choose him, Brandon Routh is apparantly out of the running, it's almost as big as picking a new Bond.  Zod and Lex should be interesting picks too.   :)

Joe Manganiello (True Blood) is apparently a big comic/superman fanboy and has been lobbying for the part.

Spielberg chasing Halo movie rights - report
DreamWorks Pictures said to be keen on a movie based on the Halo novel tie-ins

Steven Spielberg is apparently looking to secure the rights to make a Halo film.

According to Vulture, DreamWorks Pictures wants to bring the Halo universe to the big screen using the Halo novel tie-ins as the source material.

The report claims that by citing different source material to that used by Universal and Fox for their failed Halo movie effort, DreamWorks can avoid getting drawn into a legal battle over the $12 million in screenwriting and production fees the film studios invested before the project collapsed.

It's an unconfirmed report, but juicy nonetheless.

The Uncharted Movie Has A Director (Again)

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is officially coming to the big screen under the direction of David O. Russell, who has reportedly signed a deal to write and direct an adaptation of the PlayStation 3 action adventure.

The Hollywood Reporter says Russell is back on the Uncharted movie for Columbia Pictures after being attached early on, then reportedly dropping out of consideration. That back and forth status seems inline with Russell's sometimes combative history, which we hope doesn't affect Uncharted's journey to theaters.

Russell is perhaps best known for his films Three Kings, Flirting With Disaster and I ? Huckabees. His next project, The Fighter, is slated to hit theaters this year, starring Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg.

NYCC 2010: Adrien Brody Says Alternate 'Predators' Ending Would Have Featured Arnold Schwarzenegger

If you felt like the only thing missing from this summer's well-received "Predators" was a cameo by the definitive kicker of dread-locked-alien behind, one Arnold Schwarzenegger, you're not alone.

While promoting the "Predators" DVD release at New York Comic Con, Adrien Brody -- the man who did a stellar job assuming Arnie's mantel as premier alien destroyer -- told MTV News that he also felt there was a distinct lack of Schwarzenegger in the franchise reboot.

"I was hoping he would be in this film," Brody said. "It would have been great. I really was hoping." As you may have guessed, Schwarzenegger was a bit busy being governor of California, so that never happened.

That didn't stop filmmakers from writing Schwarzenegger -- who played a commando named Dutch in the 1987 original -- into the script, however. "There was a version we were going to do that had a different ending that it really would have been fitting for Schwarzenegger to be there," Brody said. "It would have been like him passing the gauntlet to my character... and the bravery of my character proven. That would have been just epic." We agree, and we're crossing our fingers that the rumored "Predators" sequel remedies that Ahnuld deficiency.

Would you have liked to see Schwarzenegger in "Predators"? Or were you happy with the way it ended?

Always thought he'd be a good choice as Indiana Jones if they made a new Indy film. But I'm biased 'cos I love Firefly :)

Thank god for the new Tomb Raider, helped me de-stress after a tough week! More of the same please

That would give me a nerdgasm.  His Firefly character and Nathan Drake are practically the same person.  Plus, I just love Nathan Fillion.   :-*

Sit-com that also starred Ryan Reynolds, great little show, originally known as Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place.
