Left 4 Dead 2 'The Passing' DLC pushed back, priced at 560 Microsoft Points(http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/02/l4d2-the-passing-021110.jpg)
We're not exactly used to finding out hot scoops on Valve's game projects from Xbox Live's "Inside Xbox" feature "SENTUAMESSAGE," so it was especially odd to us when we heard that Left 4 Dead 2's upcoming Left 4 Dead 1 crossover DLC "The Passing" got an official price (560/$7) -- and an ambiguous new release date of "Spring" -- from the feature. But that's just what the latest episode told us, not to mention a handful of new deets on the DLC, including info on new variations of enemies and a few new weapons.

Thought so, I don't watch it anymore because of two clueless retards that usually host it, never seen Jane Douglas.
She must be hot, she looks sweaty in that screen shot. ;D Other than that, I don't see what the fuss is about.
Jane Douglas is cute in a kid sister kind of way. Not exactly my idea of "sexy" unless I'm in a pedophile mood. ;)

All right, so the Left 4 Dead/Left 4 Dead 2 crossover DLC "The Passing" passed March by. Valve just announced it'll be available for download next week! We're sure the content will still be fresh, and the zombies still putrid, in April! Valve promised to update the official blog next week with more details.
Additionally, in the spirit of crossover ... ing ... ness ... the Left 4 Dead blog announced that two songs by the fictional Midnight Riders band have been added to the Rock Band Network. Dead Rising's Frank West passively in Left 4 Dead 2's 'The Passing'
Left 4 Dead's eerie atmosphere was made exponentially more engrossing by the warnings scrawled on the walls of each safe house by other survivors. Left 4 Dead 2's downloadable chapter "The Passing," released earlier today, features the above note, apparently written by another down-on-his-luck Zombocalypse veteran. Located by the sharp-eyed bloggers of Destroyed Controller, It reads: "Otis, Out of film, no helicopter. Zombies are too fast. Not going to make it. - Frank West."
It's a real shame that West's had to suffer such misfortune. We doubt he'd be in such an unfavorable position if he possessed the ingenuity of his spiritual successor.

"The Passing" Also Gives a Shout-Out to Plants vs. Zombies

We knew that Left 4 Dead 2's new expansion, "The Passing," paid a graffiti tribute to Dead Rising's Frank West. It looks like the game's creators admire Plants vs. Zombies as well.
Reader Stephen H. sent in this grab - we're trying to get a bigger image - but evidently Crazy Dave is the guy to see if you need an M60. Crazy Dave, of course, is your neighbor (and the armorer/store owner) in PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies.
This too is in the room with a pool table on the second level of "The Passing." Just scan the wall, you'll hit it and many other zombie genre in-jokes (http://zedwordblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/l4d2-passing-graffiti-easter-eggs.html).
Valve rolls out new L4D2 play mode
Valve has released the first weekly "mutation" for Left 4 Dead 2's The Passing DLC, adding a new time-limited gameplay mode to the game.
"Bleed Out" mode (http://steamcommunity.com/games/L4D2/announcements/detail/55345273340854992) starts Campaign mode players off with slowly deteriorating health that will eventually take them down. The mode also removes any health packs, forcing players to rely on pills and adrenaline for a temporary boost.
Valve has promised "over 20" mutations (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/l4d2s-the-passing-out-on-thursday?unbury=1589437) will eventually be released on a weekly schedule.
Bleed Out was pretty good, was tough trying to make it through constant zombies whilst health slowly drains. Hopefully next week will be Chainsaw Campain before my LIVE goes.
