Warner Bros. and game developer Double Helix have partnered to create an action-based video game slated around the comic book hero Green Lantern for release on both 360 & PS3.
The game is believed to be linked to the Green Lantern movie scheduled for realease in July 2011, the film will be directed by Martin Campbell & will star Ryan Reynolds in the title role.

The only game I know by Double Helix was Silent Hill Homecoming. I liked the game, but it didn't exactly make me a fan of Double Helix. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Regarding the GL movie ...
Me excited. I love the DCU animated movies coming out. So far they've all been great. Final Frontier was fabulous. Even the Wonder Woman movie that came out a few months ago was surprisingly good. What I've read/seen of the new Green Lantern movie, I like.
The one thing it does mean is that if Reynolds has signed on to play Hal Jordan then he can't reasonable retain the mantle of Deadpool, which is a slight shame as I think his banter fits perfectly for that one.
Possibly a casting mis match???
I agree, i think Reynolds has mentioned that he'd like his own Deadpool movie, maybe he'll do it once shooting has finished on Green Lantern, maybe.

Ruined it ... yes.
But that doesn't mean FOX won't just ignore the flop and continue with a franchise the fans want. I say, "BRING ON DEADPOOL!" ;D
Release date will be Summer 2011, coincidentally the same time as the new Ryan Reynolds movie ;)

I have high hopes for the film .... i'll pass on the game >_<
