First Look At The New "WWE ALL STARS" Video GameGamespot.com recently met with THQ and got a first look at the all-new WWE All Stars game. WWE All Stars will be a "larger than life" arcade-style game featuring the superstars of today as well as legends from past eras. The characters in WWE All Stars are super-sized and look like action figures. The game is more fast-paced than the other WWE video games and is being described as a hybrid of a wrestling game and a fighting gme.
Button combos will play a big part of the player's offense and a "juggle system" will let you string together multiple slams and throws in a row. During these juggle combos, the game uses slow motions technology. In the gameplay footage shown (which you can see below), The Rock's People's Elbow has him jumping high into the air as does the Rock Bottom, with lots of visual effects to emphasize the move.
The video below contains an interview with one of the developers from THQ and some gameplay footage of a match between John Cena and The Rock.
WWE All Stars is set to be released in early 2011 and is being developed by THQ San Diego, which also worked on the TNA iMPACT game.
Well my laptop wouldnt let me see the video so I found it on you tube and it doesn't look too bad.
It may suffer from the samey-ness the older WWE titles occasionally have but I like the change if honest.
A wierd future retro mix IMO.
Plus I like the cartoony aspect of it and the over the top moves and juggles, however that is also going to lead to a lot of frustration when playing online against some spotty little yob who has spent the last 3 days of his life learning and perfecting the cheap moves of all time.....still well open to button bashers too.
THQ making new kind of WWE game
In 2011, THQ will introduce the West to a different kind of WWE game.
This, core games boss Danny Bilson told CVG, will be "less simmy" than WWE SmackDown vs. RAW and more like the newly revealed WWE All Stars.
"What we do have a plan for on [WWE SmackDown vs. RAW] is what you saw with All Stars. And next year you'll see another new extension there in another way that's just as exciting as All Stars, but a little different," Bilson said. "We're not talking about that yet."
WWE All Stars - in development for DS, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 - is aimed at a casual audience. Controls are accessible, graphics are stylised and action over-the-top. The game's due in the first-half of 2011.
What direction this new game will take we can only speculate. An RPG zero-to-hero story?

I like the look of all stars, it the reviews are half decent i will pick it up, same go's for smackdown vs raw 2011. In All stars it looks like the wrestlers have overdosed on the roids. :D

New Characters Announced For WWE ALL STARS
On Thursday morning, IGN.com revealed several new playable characters for the upcoming WWE All Stars video game, in stores at the end of next month.
More new characters will be announced next Thursday.

WWE All Stars Fantasy Warfare Trailer Imagines the Greatest MatchesWWE All Stars gives you the chance to create some of the greatest match ups that never were or never will be, with Legends on one side and some of the current crop of WWE Superstars on the other. Which will reign supreme in the ring? Our money's on the Legends every time.
Possible match ups shown in the trailer include the might of Hulk Hogan against the brash tenacity of John Cena for the title of greatest superstar, the perfectly awesome match up of Mr. Perfect vs The Miz, the innovate offense of Ricky Steamboat and Kofi Kingston, the ruthless aggression between Jimmy Snuka and Kane, a charisma face-off between Randy Savage and John Morrison and the fight for who is the greatest big man between Andre the Giant and Big Show.
