I have not even played ODST yet and had it for a couple of months, So i'm not sure if i'll be any good for you. But if you need the numbers, I'm off work Thursday night.
Attempt # 1 was a bust tonight. Failed, Slamurai and my sister were going to join. My sister dropped out, so I thought maybe we'll go for the Halo 3 Meta-Games.
Then I discovered I don't have my copy of regular Halo 3 at home. My other sister borrowed it months ago. I never noticed it was missing since I only play Halo 3 multiplayer using the ODST Disc 2.
All the while, I left Failed waiting. Sorry Failed. I owe you co-op buddy experience. :-*
We'll try ODST again. I'm free Wednesday after Theme Night is over if you're up for it. If not, I'm free Thursday after 10pm GMT also. Anyone else want to join in?

I should be able to join then. I don't need the achievement but I'm totally willing to help. I got it on a different level that was actually easy, because it had no vehicles, engineers, and all the enemies filtered into one kill zone from only two directions.

i've heard a few people tell me that it's much easier on that level than the vehicle one.

I'm still unsure if I can join. The main problem being, I can't find my ODST campaign disc! I have the ODST multiplayer, and original halo 3, but not the ODST campaign one. Been looking all day.
Also, my Aunt is visiting from across the country, and will arrive in an hour.

Think I'm gonna trade frickin Transformers in I got all the cheeves except for the dang online ones and the frickin connection sucks so its so hard to get those, while I'm trading that in I'll pick up ODST and some cheapo game to tide me over until Reach comes out yo. Just an update, I traded in six games to get ODST. Was expecting to get maybe 15 or 20 bucks if I was lucky outta it, ended up with 80some dollars. So that paid for my game and got me a 40 some dollar gift card. Not bad.
I should be able to join up.

Attempt # 2 was a semi-success. We managed to make it to Set 4, Round 3, Wave 4.
1 final wave and we would have had it, but the combination of no shields + endless grenades was too much for even ArKade to pull 3 noobs through.
It did take a few rounds to get back into the groove of Halo's control scheme, after months of playing Left 4 Dead, Borderlands, and other FPS games. Now that our Halo muscle memory is back I think we'll be be able to avoid wasting so many lives at the beginning of the game next time.
I look forward to Attempt # 3 later in the week. Thanks ArKade. :)
Hey it was fun.
I thought too late through about this though: When the tilt skull is on so they take far less damage from bullets, having a plasma pistol and a regular pistol/carbine can take down brutes super fast.
Towards the end I was just dropping shields of brutes with plasma pistol shots as fast as I could.
I'm up for giving it another shot, and if you want to do those meta game achievements in campaign, I'd do that in the meantime too.
I was in there but got booted dunno what happened, mebbe catch ya next time.
I would have played but it sounded like you had too many players anyway. Maybe next time.
Plasma Pistol + Magnum = Easy Brute or wait till they lunge and sidestep around for a quick Assassin kill .... don't try with Hammer Brutes :P

It's a 4-player max limit. I already gathered 2 local friends, I just needed 1 more player to fill the 4th spot. ArKade was my top choice since he already has the achievements and knows how to keep us noobs in line.

That was fun though. We had a lot of lives stocked up towards the end but lost a ton right in the last round. Kept things exciting.
I couldn't assassinate those hammer brutes for anything though. I felt so ashamed, ha.
Also, I'm glad that intermittent lag didn't actually disconnect us. That would have been awful, especially if it happened near the end.

My first exact thought every time it happened. It's amazing we weren't disconnected after a few VERY long lags. I think my sheer willpower held us together. :D
