There was a fair bit of outrage when Microsoft decided to move the Indie Games section of the Marketplace to the Specialty Shops as part of the latest dashboard update. The creators of these games felt they had been shafted. Their games, the fruit of their labors, had been moved to a section of the Marketplace where they wouldn't see the light of day. They spoke up, and Microsoft listened, returning Indie Games to their rightful place, in the Games and Demos section.
Robert Boyd (Breath of Death VII) is organizing an event in order to bring some attention to the newly moved Indie Games Channel. The Indie Games Uprising is a way of combating the shovelware of the Indie Games section (read: massage and avatar games), featuring games from veteran studios like Ska Studios (I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!!!1 1NIT!!!1) and Radiangames, as well as new developers. There will be a total of 14 new games released during the event, which are the following:

• Radiangames Crossfire 2
• Chu's Dynasty
• Alpha Squad
• Epic Dungeon
• Break Limit
• Decimation X3
• Asteroids Do Concern Me
• Hypership Out of Control (Update)
• Aphelion: Episode Two: Wings of Omega
• ZP2KX: Zombies and Pterodactyls!
• Ubergridder
• Rickenbacker vs. The Aliens
As with (most) Indie Games, these will run you from anywhere from 80 MSP to 400 MSP. All of these games will be released during the first week of December (which likely means the week of the 6th of December).
