With the new Gears 2 map pack out tomorrow, i'm guessing quite a few of us will be downloading it so i thought maybe we should give them all a try this Friday night, also we can try for the map specific Horde achievements (mentioned in another topic) after we've finished destroying eachother.
What do you all think?

I've not been about the last couple of Weekends (School holidays have me wrecked) But I am determined to be about on Friday so I will pick up the pack on Friday (otherwise Tara will kick me off the site, Like she threatend to do if i never brought GoW2). So put me down for some GoW2 this weekend.
Should be about. The wife is playing Guild Wars on PC, so I'm getting more xbox time than usual. 8)

For 1600MSP you do get the 5 maps from Flashback, the 3 from Combustable and the 4 from SnowBlind plus you get 7 new Dark Corners maps! Plus a new single player mission, which you can go through 2 ways... and all the achievements!
So thats a whole single player chapter and NINE-FREEKIN-TEEN maps for 1600MSP.
The Combustible & Snowblind packs if bought together cost 1600 so this is a bargain.

Dark Corners is available on it's own for 1200 Points, you'll get the 7 new maps & the new SP chapter.

Right now if you put Gears 2 on, it's available from the Deleted Scene option on the main menu, neither All Fronts or Dark Corners are on the marketplace just yet, they are due anytime soon though :)

I aint really a fan of Gears 2 multipayer when it doesnt involve 360DF, i don't think i'm very good at it.
you can't say no to the Allfronts bargain though, seperately the map packs are 400, 800, 800 and 1200 points.... 3200 seperate, it's like a halfprice sale.

I played a few public matches on the new maps last night & bar the odd match, people take it way too seriously, it's no fun like that, that's why i prefer our game nights, it's always a good laugh.
on friday's multiplayer session will it be in small groups like the solo game or is it like a big 30 degrees free for all.. :-\

i wouldn't be arsed mate, theres only a few good players. We'll stick you with Dark Master, he can balance the team out as he's the nuts at GoW2. You have to practice to get any better and the best place to do that is with us!

I'm with you there reaps. Played the campaign for the first time last night, played the new deleted scene and played some Horde. Awesome game.
I had to learn to love it, i played Gears of War 1's first chapter 5 times, before i brought myself to finish the rest of the game. Horde is awesome with 5 people on Hardcore.
Similar thing for me, I played Act 1 of Gears 1 once on my own, and once on co-op, but couldn't get into it. I ended up trading it in, but re-bought it in a double pack with Gears 2. I've just played through Acts 2 and 3 and really enjoying it now.

I had to play against randoms instead, but i did level up a few times & got a couple of achievements, so it's all good ;D

I tried to get in some Annex matches last night, but whenever it came up everybody voted for the alternative, i got a few King Of The Hill & Guardian matches though, you get respawns on them but not half as many as Annex.
Definitely worth it with the double exp, i might have another blast myslef later.

I joined a random Horde match on Hardcore last night on the Stasis map, we only got to Wave 12 but by then there was only 2 of us left!
Stasis is an easy Horde map. If you hide on the stairs they don't spawn above you and you have a respawning ammo crate at the top.
Or you can all hide on the bridge and get the mulcher and boom shot.
