Title: Ghostbusters: The Video Game
Post by: sambo on July 27, 2009, 04:34:32 PM
Namco Bandai has announced that the Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters will be available in the UK on October 23rd, after previously only being available on Playstation.

The 360 version - which was proven to be technically superior to PS3 - has been out in the US for several months but was held back in the UK and Europe by a deal with Sony.

Diehard fans have already imported it, having discovered that there wasn't any region restriction on the US disc. So did we - there's a review in the issue out on 6th August.
Everybody else now has a chance to play in October - question is, will they bother? The game's been a big hit in the US (it was actually the best-selling movie game of the year, beating Transformers and Terminator) but October's a much busier time of year.

If it was cheap to buy on import i'd bother with this, but i'll probably play it in January.

Namco Bandai has revealed that Ghostbusters: The Videogame will be launched in Europe on 6th November.
Ghostbusters: The Videogame is already available for 360 in the US but there was a period of exclusivity on PlayStation3 for the game in Europe, as Sony had the publishing rights.

Now that exclusivity window is drawing to a close and Ghostbusters has been pencilled in for release on November 6th.

The online ones are the hardest.

Out of 8000 people on TrueAchievements. Only 6 have won the achievements Payday! and No Job Too Big.

However it does look an easy 700-900. Especially because the game is supposed to be quite short.

Ghostbusters fix out a year after release

Over a year after the release of the Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters: The Video Game, developer Terminal Reality has fixed a bug that prevented players from collecting four Achievements.

The Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters was released in the UK in October last year after a period of exclusivity on PlayStation 3.

Four multiplayer Achievements were glitched, preventing fans from that perfect Gamerscore – until now.

"The Ghostbusters Xbox 360 multiplayer patch is now available! Many thanks to all of our wonderful supporters for their patience and continued support! The next step is to go get those achievements, and they are some doozies! Thanks to our awesome QA staff, we have a step-by-step walkthrough of how to go about getting them," Terminal Reality said on its Facenook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Terminal-Reality/112352399784).

Terminal Reality is currently hard at work on the Kinect Star Wars game, due out next Christmas.
