Title: GAME selling XBLA games and DLC
Post by: GamerMan316 on February 09, 2011, 10:43:28 AM
You can now buy downloadable content and Xbox Live Arcade games from GAME shops around the UK.

A six-month trial (that begun yesterday) sees 40 GAME shops erect bays to sell 30 games and pieces of DLC to the public.

Digital content will be sold on cards that hold codes. Each bit of content is priced individually, starting as low as £2.04.

The benefits? Paying in cash and being able to trade-in old games for re-spendable Reward Card points.

most are slightly more expensive than just buying them off live, but only by a few pence.

If you pick up a cheap 2100 card though for sub £17.85 then that is the cheapest option.

Normally get 2100 Points cards for around £15, the Game option is good if you're trading stuff or use your Reward Card points a lot, otherwise just stick to the traditional way.  :)

GameStop has been doing this for a while.  Since I only buy Marketplace content on sale, these retail prices are no good to me.

I'd rather trade in my game towards the purchase of Microsoft Points, and then buy cheaper direct from the XBL Marketplace.

Yeah, I in the "Power Up" rewards program, but haven't accumulated many points yet.  I think I'm somewhere around the 10,000 ($10) mark.

For the past few months, I've been focusing most of my attention on cheapassgamer.com for trades and deals.  I'm getting way more bang for my buck on CAG than I ever did at GameStop for used games.

Everyone deserves some Turtle Beaches.
