Who's in for some Texas Heat tomorrow night?

Tuesday April 12th
Beginner's Night
US East Coast Session: 8:00-10:00 p.m. (EST)
US West Coast Session: 8:00-10:00 p.m. (PST)
UK Session: 8:00-10:00 p.m. (GMT)

Does anyone know if players in the US can play in UK sessions (and vice-versa)?

Sometimes it is hard to connect with everyone else, but it is possible.  You don't need an invite.  I have managed it by joining if someone elses game or just going into the tournment solo and it will put me in a match.

Joining regular games internationally isn't a problem.  I've done it before.

I was just curious if we can join Texas Heat matches internationally, since they're hosted differently than regular matches.

I remember 1vs100 required an invite (or 'Join Game In Progress') from someone in the hosted country.  I figured Full House Poker is similar.  If so, I know to keep an eye out for invites when our UK members want to join me in a US match, and vice-versa.

I'm also curious if XP and money earned while in a session out of your own country saves to your account.  In 1vs100, there were always weird score issues when playing internationally, plus you weren't eligible for prizes.

I was hoping I'd be home in time to jump into the UK session before 10pm GMT (5pm EST).  But it's not looking so good.

I will definitely be on at 8pm EST (1am GMT) if anyone wants to steal John Malkovich's Oreos with me.

Tuesday April 19th
Hyperblind Night
US East Coast Session: 8:00-10:00 p.m. (EST)
US West Coast Session: 8:00-10:00 p.m. (PST)
UK Session: 8:00-10:00 p.m. (GMT)

I may be home early enough to jump into the UK session (3pm EST / 8pm GMT).
I'll definitely be online tonight for the US East session (8pm EST / 1am GMT).
Depending on how tired I am, I may stick around for some of the US West session (11pm EST / 4am GMT)

Basically, if you see me online tonight, play some Texas Heat with me.  ;)

no i didn't but it took several goes to get into a game and i was in with 3 other Britons, the rest was the AI.

All the others left, then there was just me versus the AI. Once i worked out how they worked, i did really well in the 3rd game, finishing with almost 1mill and a silver badge. Some of the AI i learnt to avoid as they only betted when they had an amazing hand (found out the hard way to Marcela twice and Jen several times).

Most AI went strong on K or A, with another card ... one even went 3rd person all in with pocket 5's before the turn (crazy!!). If you had a good hand after the turn, you could bet big knowing they would generally have just 1 high card.

BUT THE AMOUNT OF TIMES I GOT SCREWED ON THE RIVER BY THE CHEATING FECKING AI. They're too damn lucky  :(

Despite best laid plans, I didn't end up getting home until around 11pm EST.   That's what happens when I try to get home before 5pm.  #)

Thanks to DFuzz for taking all my monies last night.  I'll get it back on Saturday.  ;)

Yep.  They are very lucky.

As to being in a room with all AI, that happens from time to time.  The last update made it a bit better becaue people don't seem to be getting kicked as often, which is nice.

I got Gold on a fluke.  I was on the 2nd Diamond Table with all Bots.  I got a phonecall that I had to take, so I just kept going all in every hand, not really paying attention.  A few times I glanced at my chips and thought I was going down, but I kept winning at the last hand.

I'm not really sure how the scoring works, but I'm guessing you get bonuses for winning with 'all in' hands, and probably for 'close calls' as there were several.

I haven't heard anything.  In fact, MS and the dev team has been pretty quite about Texas Heat in general after the last patch.  I wouldn't be surprised if they cancel Texas Heat altogether after this season ... and then develop a new game that's progressively worse.

I miss 1 vs 100.   :'(
