Some of the percentages in there are a lot higher than I thought they would be.
Why most people don't finish video games (http://www.cnn.com/2011/TECH/gaming.gadgets/08/17/finishing.videogames.snow/index.html?hpt=hp_t2)
That was an interesting read, most of my customers are younger than their average age of 41. The demographic is 18 to 30
Definitely an interesting article, thanks dfuze. Personally, I tend to at least go through the SP campaign once, regardless of how weak a game is. Not doing so feels like a bit of a let-down.
True something like RDR and Fallout New Vegas tend to suck up a bunch of time, but I find it's best to space those out between other shorter rail-type games. Fallout NV, has had the longest hiatus though -which I should hit up again sometime soon.
I'll will admit I am one of the people that obtains the game, but never plans to play the single player. I never planned to play the campain in Reach, because I knew how it ended, but I was talked into it. I know I won't ever play through the whole thing again. I did finish Gears 2 and I am about halfway through Gears 1. I finished all the main story line and every side quest for Fallout 3 (it took about 110 hours) and all but 2 of the DLC add-ons. I plan to finish those eventually though. I refuse to start Fallout NV until after I have finished Fallout 3.
Awesome find, Fuze. Great read.
I'm guilty of pretty much everything they mention. My gaming does take a backseat to other priorities, which is understandable but still frustrating. I also seem to obtain games faster than I can play them, thanks to sites like CAG.
One (minor) complaint I have about the article is the constant mentioning of RDR. In all honesty, it's likely a lot of people didn't complete the "last" mission in RDR because they didn't know there was a "last" mission. I know a lot of people that played the game and didn't realize there was a post-final act to the story. It's a small factor to consider, but a factor nonetheless.
why would anyone want to play RDR, let alone finish it ?! ;op
;D

good man!!
I almost wet myself watching that Red Dead Video Zero.
LOL brilliant
Thanks for the share dfuze, really interesting. I didnt realise how many ppl bought games just to play mulitplayer. My example is CoD Black ops, there are ppl that i play against that have prestiged a few times, but when i check their gamercard they basically have no points or only a couple of hundred. I will always......attempt to play the game all the way through, i think i only have 3 or 4 that i havent
Interestingly enough 2 big games this year, GOW3 and BF3 it's the singleplayer/campaigns that Im most looking forward to, but then Im a minority right? not that the multiplayers won't reign supreme afterwards but nonetheless.
In saying that, the first thing Im gonna do on Bf3 is check out the MP. Nice lil article though.
