Title: Highlight of my Year
Post by: Jaynestown on July 07, 2012, 08:28:45 PM
Sorry, I have to post this.

Today I went to London Film & Comic Con and have returned with the inspiration for my gamertag signing an autograph to me:

Just in case you can't see what it says it reads:

To Martin (Jaynestown) Shiny! Let's Be Bad Guys! Adam Baldwin

It's the highlight of my year, and fingers crossed I should have something to add to it shortly :)

Thanks guys. As soon as I heard he was going I HAD to go. I spent a fortune but what the hell. I also had a picture taken with him but it won't be developed until today, they have to send it to me.

Oh, I also got a signed autograph from Jewel Staite (Kalyee on Firefly), Chris Judge (Teal'c on Stargate) and Tom Skerritt  :)

Yeh, I heard about that. There was a Firefly talk by Adam and Jewel I went to and they said they hadn't heard anything about any new Firefly/Serenity projects and that it was just a 10 year reunion (although Jewel wasn't going, she was staying in the UK).

It would be great if they could do something whilst the cast is still young enough. Maybe the fact that Joss Whedon is now hot property following the success of Avengers might be that little incentive they need :)

I'd just be happy with another film with the Reavers as the proper enemy this time

I sort of agree, a new movie would work but I just want something "bigger". I really had hoped Serenity would kick start interest in the show to get it moving again, but alas no. Still remains my favourite after all these years.

Thanks Failed.  I was "oh no, why have I spent that much" when I got home, but I pretty much think the same as you so it only lasted for about 10 minutes :)

In Vegas, you need to do this:

Being that high up and moving that fast is pretty insane.

There's a gun range where you can fire 5 guns of your choice, being british and only ever having fired a shotgun (whilst on horseback, following a bloodhound hunting foxes whilst wearing a redcoat, sipping tea through bad teeth and eating crumpets, scones and jellied eel). This sounds frakkin awesome, plus it's one of few states where you allowed to fire the M16. (so TV tells me)

Why is the Mark Hamill line from Star Wars "cheesy"?

How can the Melody Anderson line from Flash Gordon be in there, it can't be cheesy if it's in a Queen song

I lost count of how many Arnie lines (or lines from Arnie films) there were in there but where was "I'll be back"?
