Being reported - THQ Nordic has made a deal to acquire Koch Media.
THQ Nordic is best known for the Darksiders Series and MX vs ATV Series. On the other side, Koch Media is best known for Deep Silver Games - including the series [Saints Row, Dead Island, Metro].
Koch Media will operate as a separate entity under THQ Nordic, according to the news release. No restructuring or cost-saving programs are planned, the company says, suggesting that there will be no layoffs as part of the acquisition. Additionally, THQ Nordic said that “names of both operational companies, including its publishing units Deep Silver and THQ Nordic, will remain unchanged.â€
Funny enough, some of the Koch Media titles were under the THQ umbrella at one point, before the original THQ filed for bankruptcy a few years back, so for some titles it'll be a sort of welcome home situation...
