It won't just be a new episode Resident Evil 5 fans will be playing in the forthcoming Gold Edition, as they'll be up against a new enemy too.
The latest screenshots from Capcom show a strange creature covered in boils with an anchor-like weapon.
It's something we haven't seen in the series before (at least as far as we remember) and looks like it was created specifically for this extra episode. And it looks disgusting. Which is good, in a strange sort of way. Hopefully it won't be the only new creature you'll be up against as we're looking forward to see what else Capcom comes up with...

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will see the return of Barry Burton and Rebecca Chambers, according to IGN.
The characters, who made their Resident Evil debut right back with the original and have been making the odd appearance in the series since then, will be brought back via Mercenaries Reunion mode.
It has already been confirmed that Excella from Resident Evil 5's single player will be a playable character while Chris Redfield, Sheva and co get new outfits. Is this enough to convince you to shell out for Gold Edition?

Barry Burton returning sounds awesome, he needs to have his .357 Colt Python though or his comeback would be pointless, this series still needs Zombies to return too but then you already knew i'd say that ;D

I'll do Resi 5 co-op sometime with you, i'm sure we've agreed to start this before but i've never got round to finishing the story on my own & thats probably the reason why we haven't started yet, i'll get right on it, no wait, i'll get right on it from Monday :)
Veteran is my last achievement, i will get round to doing it one day. Maybe when this Gold Edition comes out and the achieves go up to 1500G.
