Hi all, just wondering if anyone fancied trying to get some Horde achievements sometime, just the ones below, obviously they're all dependant on who has what map packs, the Flashback Map Pack is all I have at the moment but i'll have the others quite soon.
Skeletons in your Closet - 20G
Complete waves 1 through 10 on all Flashback Map Pack maps in Horde (any difficulty)
Trial by, and on, Fire - 20G
Survive first 10 Horde waves on Combustible Map Pack maps as a team
Never Eat Red Snow - 20G
Complete waves 1 through 10 on all Snowblind Map Pack maps in Horde (any difficulty)
Icy Dead People - 25G
Complete waves 1 through 50 on any Snowblind Map Pack map in Horde (any difficulty)
I'm down with the Horde.
I only have the free DLC for Gears 2, but I do plan on buying the soon-to-be-released complete collection of DLC (whenever that is).
Nice one Neato, it's the All Fronts pack, i'm waiting for that too, no point in paying for the Combustible or Snowblind packs when they're included along with 7 new maps in the All Fronts bundle.
I just checked my Xbox.com Marketplace and confirmed that the only DLC I have for Gears2 is the "Flashback Multiplayer Map Pack".

So for now, I guess we should get together for the Skeletons in your Closet - 20G. We can systematically go through each map, levels 1-10, and then move on to the next. Shouldn't take very long.

Maybe, if the missus lets me near the TV, all her programs will have finished by 11pm so i might get the TV ... if i've been good that is.
I too am waiting for the all fronts pack. I dont have the flashback maps at the moment ( i bought an ex rental copy of gears 2), but i am planning on downloading them on friday after i get my points and i obviously need the achievement so count me in this weekend please!
this weekend should be fine for me too, if theres still a few of us online after our Friday night game, maybe we could try then.
I'm up for some Friday night Horde.

You've got the Flashback pack, that was free with the Limited Edition Gears 2
Not sure what maps I have. I do intend to get some Microsoft points this week, so I may buy some maps. Have never played Horde, So if you want a noob let me know.

nice one, it's the flashback pack mainly, because that's the free pack, the others are all included in the All Fronts pack which is out at the end of July so we can try for the other achievements when everyone has that.
Is that the one that's gonna be available in the shops?

I think the retail version was cancelled, it'll only be available on the marketplace now, 1600 points for the full pack or 1200 points for the new maps & single player chapter.
So for 1200 you get the new stuff
but 1600 also gets you combustable and snowblind ?

Yeah, the plan was to release the whole lot for 1600 but fans complained about paying for everything incase they already had the maps so Epic split it into the 2 packs mentioned previously.

I'll definitely be getting it, i noticed last night on the main menu screen on Gears 2, there was a greyed out option for the new campaign chapter.
Horde is much better now i can earn exp, i can finally get the levelling Achievements without having to endure the actual MP!

gonna have to try some Horde then, i tried MP last night after we played, got into one match & we were 4-0 up & the bloody game timed out
I did levels 1-20 on Stasis with some guys on Hardcore and got to level 4 so it's not amazing levelling. 150 exp per wave on Hardcore.

I played some mp last night too. I managed to play a round on the new version of Canals. I really like the snow and ice they have added, looking forward to finding out what they have done to the other flashback maps. (if anything)
They all look much better now, especially Mansion.

We should play on Hardcore too so we get lots of exp!

sounds like a plan
They look like they have kept the increased exp, so you get:
casual:100exp
normal:150exp
hardcore:200exp
insane:250exp
I was playing Horde Thursday night and getting 100exp for Normal.
I joined some random Horde match last week & was getting 150exp, i think we were on Normal.
Good game tonight, loads of fun as usual :)

Sounds good to me. I loved it last night. Also I am so good at horde now. I think I am getting better at gears. :)
I think doing a full 1-50 Horde would be good, seeing as we did the stop start one last night.
I think holding out for a full 50 will be fun and hard.
Maybe Sunday's could be our new Horde day, Just a suggestion.

Waves 1-50 sounds cool, we actually did that on the release day, not many people were online so Tara, Beastie, Me, Joshy & i can't remember the 5th guy, all played on River, took us a while but it was great fun. I still think Epic should have thrown a big boss on Wave 50, multiple Brumaks or a Berserker, hell even Raam would be cool, maybe i'm glutton for punishment ;D
Seeing as were all between levels 10-20 maybe we can try for these achievements below

I think I'm level 12, so may get to 15 by the weekend. 20 is ambitious, especially with double exp gone.

no probs, we can go for the Sanctuary map achievement instead.
I did the Be Careful What You Wish For achievement on my own because i noticed everyone else had it, War Machine is a decent map for 1 player Horde.
i still need flasback horde and i will prob have the all fronts pack by the weekend so count me in on any horde seesion please.

I think I still need some of those Red, if I'm online, count me in on any hoarding you get up to.
I just need to do 2 more Combustible Maps (Gold Rush & Flood) for the Trial By, And On, Fire achievement, then i'll have all the Horde achievements, still won't stop me from playing Horde though so of course i'll help with any others too :)

Whenever I can crak, I'm never sure when the wife is gonna let me play! ;) I hope tonight while the double exp is still on (and the nice easy Sire levels!).

Nice one. Might be able to get on at 9 as it's soap night.
I'll definitely be on around 9, i'm recording a documentary called "9/11 The 102 Minutes that changed America", it's on Channel 4 at 9 so that'll give me a couple of hours to blast Gears.
