you should try some demos first, that'll give you an idea of what you're laptop can handle.

Very good indeed, works with Gears on the PC too  :P

Get one of these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Official-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-for-Windows-XBOX-360_W0QQitemZ360232188870QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_PC_Video_Games_Video_Games_JS?hash=item53df82fbc6) first, then you can use your existing 360 pad.

Yes I do. You should get one its so much easier. If you have a wired pad you can just use that I think

The wired Xbox 360 controller and Games for Windows (PC) controller are the exact same controller.  The only difference is the packaging (and optional installation disc).

Can I ask, probably a dumb question. If you connect a wireless controller to the PC with the rechargable battery cable, will that work? Or is that cable purely for recharging?

Purely for recharging.

Not a dumb question at all.  A LOT of people ask that.

You have 2 options to use a 360 controller on your PC.
