Title: Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Post by: GamerMan316 on May 02, 2011, 01:45:11 PM
Assassin's Creed: Revelations leaked, stars Altair?
Ubisoft accidentally leaks May 13 reveal date

Ubisoft has seemingly accidentally confirmed the next Assassin's Creed game, 'Revelations', via its official Facebook page.

For a brief moment over the weekend the official Assassin's Creed Facebook page displayed a link to a mysterious teaser site, along with the message, "The day you have been waiting for has arrived!!! Click the link below to help reveal an exclusive look at the upcoming Assassin's Creed game!"

Naturally the teaser site disappeared as quickly as it turned up, but not before ravenous fans were able to dissect its every last detail, including a logo for Revelations and confirmation of a May 13 reveal in US mag Game Informer.

Most interesting though was the translation of an Arabic message on the briefly-online teaser, which mentioned the name of original Assassin's Creed protagonist, Altair.

Could we be in for yet another spin-off, this time staring the series' original hero? After how well Brotherhood turned out, we're up for it.

Ubisoft first said in an earnings call earlier this year it's planning to release information on the new 'Creed in May.

Asked during an investor call if we'll see a new game during its fiscal year 2011-2012, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot replied: "There will be something around Assassin's - that's all we can say."

could be anything. A DS Assassin colouring game, or a PSP game where you take pictures of nothing and it turns into Assassins. Perhaps a Facebook Assassin Farming Game... or the hallowed ground of all franchises the MMO featuring Assassins.

Who knows, but when we eventually find out it'll be a Revelation

That episode of Tiny Toons was hand-down my favorite episode of any cartoon when I was a kid.  Thanks for the nostalgia.   :-*

And to further the likeness...Jean Reno was a modern day "Assassin" in Leon-The Professional:

Now that Ubisoft has a film division, yeah, he may not be an Italian pretty-boy, but I'm just sayin'.... ;)

Skipped over AC: Brotherhood - not too sure I even know what the Single Player mode contains, since the marketing focused so much on the MP side of things, I may rent it before Revelations arrives though.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations gameplay walkthrough video released
Ubisoft has released a gameplay walkthrough for Assassin's Creed: Revelations, officially nine ways better than Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Join Ezio for a delightful walk through renaissance Constantinople broken up by sudden mangly death.

New Gamescon Trailer for ACR#

The demo shows master assassin Ezio Auditore in pursuit of his enemies in a horse and carriage before he is run off the road and survives with painful injuries. From there, Ezio must use his wits to trail his target without the advantage of climbing his environment, due to his wounds. The demo, aided by developer commentary, shows off many new gameplay features which any veterans of the series will be quick to point out.

Ubisoft has promised that this installment will be very revealing.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is released November 15th.

I'm pretty convinced that the first game was sort of an experiment. A way for Ubisoft to test the waters for the genre, concept and tech. I played through the first AC, finished the main storyline and didn't go back to it until after completing AC 2.

AC1 is definitely more of grind than AC2, good luck.

Pre-ordered my copy today :D

Gotta be honest though, hoping something has changed with the multiplayer. Really had problems getting into it in the last game, though it looked inspired in how different it was. That said, really, I'll only be huffing if I read the list of achievements - not a big fan of MP ones in games that I feel are more suiting to single player.

Same here. I'm halfway through Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood is sitting on the shelf. Too many good games are coming out these days for me to catch up!

I love the AC series still, 2 and 3 were pretty good - the newest venture has yet to really seize my attention but it's still good in the same way as its predecessors.

I've still got some that I just stopped playing ages ago, though if I REALLY like a game I finish it. But Far Cry 2, which was fine to play, just never grabbed me - and is sat on the shelf somewhere. Shame really! I could milk a lot more playtime from most of my games, might do that once this release-frenzy part of the year is finally over. ;D

I cannot encourage you enough to play ME2, Failed. I liked 1 but struggled to get into it, then all of a sudden picked it up and couldn't put it back down - bought 2, finished it within the week and started the hard mode without even taking a break. ;D Love it. Much more fluid than the first one.

As for AC, tried it again yesterday and just slooowly melting the ice. I think it's a slow starter but it does seem to be getting better. Just did the mission with the Romanies (introducing their faction) and suitably warming to them. Hoping the plot thickens soon, it's seeming like.. Brotherhood-2 otherwise, needs some flare of its own.
