Dragon's Dogma 2 details hint at quest creation mode
Plus, Itsuno teases a bigger game world

Hideaki Itsuno has discussed plans for Dragon's Dogma 2 and teased a bigger world and new features for the sequel.

Speaking to Japanese gaming mag Famitsu, the longtime director of Devil May Cry and creator of Capcom's sleeper hit said the world of Dragon's Dogma was only about two thirds of the original intended size.

He also revealed only about 60% or 70% of his ideas were implimented in the first game. Amongst the ideas not used, Itsuno specifically mentioned the ability to create custom quests and run on top of enemies to execute jump grabs.

Word of a sequel first emerged earlier this month when Itsuno said 'he'd love to make Dragon's Dogma 2' and has 'plenty in mind for a potential sequel'.

Capcom later announced its intention to develop Dragon's Dogma into a series, having set a first-week sales record in Japan for a new franchise.

Today it reported a profit jump of 290% in its financial results for the first fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2012. It also reaffirmed Dragon's Dogma's success 'sets the stage for a series of titles'.
