Kingdom Under Fire II
« on: July 08, 2009, 12:16:13 PM »
Kingdom Under Fire II has been announced by Blueside for Xbox 360.
It won't be a sequel to Circle of Doom but will be "staying true to the Action RTS tradition of the series that began with 'The Crusaders' and 'Heroes'". Given those games are far superior to the dodgy Circle of Doom that graced the 360, this can only be a good thing.

"If the series were once described as games that excelled at bringing 'massiveness' into the game world, this new sequel will unquestionably redefine the meaning of that word on a whole new level with thousands of soldiers engaging in intense combat and all being vividly displayed at one screen," says Blueside.

The screenshots look absolutely incredible. If Blueside gets this running at a playable speed, OXM will personally award them a medal. Well, if they get it running at a decent speed and deliver 'massiveness'.

Kingdom Under Fire II is pencilled in for the second half of 2010 and already, DLC has been promised.

I played the first one at a mates house and it was sh*t!!

Hopefully the follow up is a vast improvment otherwise I'll give it a wide berth!

This is actually Kingdom Under Fire 4. It's good to hear they are returning to the much better format of the first two games.

You would lead your armies around and flank them and then when you got into a fight the camera would drop into the action and it would go all Dynasty Warriors. It was a great cross between a war strategy game and a good old hack'n'slash

Although the damage may have already been done with the aweful first 360 outing.
