Online Status Unavailable

How come most of the friends status information on Xbox live now reads "Online Status Unavailable?".

No idea why but it looks like all my friends who haven't been on XBL today are showing as "offline".

Wierd, I'll have a mooch about the internetz and see what I can find.

I did google it but there were no responses that were about this issue specifically?

Just a guess, but it's probably because of the update earlier this week.

Maybe the online status data on XBL was reset with the new update, and everyone that hasn't signed into XBL since the update are just showing as offline.

Again, just a guess.

Thats what normally happens but the update was Tuesday/Wednesday where as this issue has arisen today.

It has been there for a while but was alot worse yesterday. But now more are showing up so your theory on the update must be correct!
